Heard about this from a local dealer, then looked this up on the internet. Anyone else able to confirm if there's any truth in the statements? http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2009/09/22/izhmash-official-maker-of-the-ak-and-saiga-rifles-filed-for-bankruptcy/

Anyone shoot the Ft Benning match? flg8r

Buddy of mine bought one for three gun and it just has not been reliable. FTE's mainly, even with a variety of loads. Price was right and has alot of nice features, but just never got it to run as well as his benelli. Having said that, I am sure he will come to the dark side, but just difficult to get his hands on a S-12 these days.

Any Coastal GA or SC shooters?

Just saw this place... Think its close to you... http://www.shootersofamerica1.com/ flg8r -
It depends...like you already mentioned, in competition IPSC/3-gun etc, the mag fed shotguns already place one in OPEN class,so the advantages to using optics on a shotgun should not go unrealized. I run a C-more on my saiga-12, E-tac conversion on a rail and love it. Slugs out to 75-100 yards are a no brainer. Agree, shooting flying clays are a little more challenging until you get use to it. Question you may try and ask yourself, and do not mean to be insulting, but is your technique with the chosen optic appropriate? Both eyes open, sighted for slugs and patterned for shot, solid cheek weld

Had the ATN digital, but it crapped out after the first 100 or so... Now have a C-more mounted on an E-tac welded front site rail. 1000's of rounds later still going strong. Good field of view, and proven shock reliability with the C-more. CDNN had them for sale at a pretty decent price...around $200... I think

Looks promising! Interesting way to mount the optic. How has that been working out? flg8r -
Just got my new 5 rounders in the mail today. As described and definitely satisfied. MCASgt was quick with the uodates and delivery as advertised. Would do business again without any reservations. david

Top, Check out www.flpracticalshooting.com. If you are going to be close to the Tampa Bay area the Hernando Sportsmans Club runs a 3-gun/2-gun (shotgun/pistol) match usually the 2nd saturday of each month. It a;ternates from month to month so you would just have to check the calendar. January was 3 gun. Great facility...shoot house,300 yard range, multiple different bays, even a machine gun shoot scheduled for february./nice people Also, the WAC runs an action shotgun fun match every thursday night. There is some form of shooting sport, multi-gun/IPSC/IDPA at least 4 nights of the week somewhe
