  1. There are both an aperture and a ghost ring. The whole sight is an exact copy of M16A2 backsight exept that there is no vertical ajustment wheel. The distance from the top of the cover to the center of the aperture is 15mm (about 0.59"). This height fits AK-103-style Saigas and AK-74 perfectly: I've installed my reciver cover with Krebbs sight on a couple of rifles and no additional ajustments were needed to zero at 100 yards. WBR, Sergey
  2. I've installed it myself. It took about 15 minutes to mark and drill two holes in receiver cower and to screw in and locktight two bolts included. The most problems were caused by a frontsight. Krebbs peepsight is designed for AK and Saiga rifles, while Saiga-shotguns' frontsight is a bit lower. So I had to order and install a new higher (about 1/2") frontsight to solve a problem. But in case of Saiga-rifles and Saiga-shotguns with a rib (not with fixed ironsight like my Saiga-20K) - there would be no problem. WBR, Sergey
  3. Awfully sorry to hear that. BTW, here in Russia all gun owners are obliged to keep all guns in a locked safe fixed to a concrete wall. This is a mandatory for any gun owner. Besides, if cops discover that an owner keeps his guns out of a safe, you may say goodbuy to your gun licence for at least 5 years! Do You have something like this in US? WBR, Sergey
  4. Yep, I have one installed on my 20Ga. Saiga-20K. Seems to work OK. If You have any questions - please feel free to ask. WBR, Sergey
  5. SaltPeter I've just adviced with an expert from Izjmash representative office in Moscow, he agrees that in case all mags are OK, a problem may be caused either by a magazine catch malfunction or too short shells. Check for magazines are attached properly and try a longer ammo, for example 3" ones Best regards, Sergey Podgirin Moscow Saiga owners club
  6. SaltPeter I can see two possible reasons for such feeding problem. 1. A magazine or magazines malfunction. Saiga-12 mags are extrimly reliable, but they can jam when worn of. Inside a magazine there are rails for shell rim, and these rails can be easily worn by sharp or reloaded shells' rims. Please inspect Your magazines' rails. Best of all - purchaise or just try in some way a brand new "out of box" magazine. 2. Magazine catch malfunction. Check the magazine is attached properly. And the basic recomendation for almost all kind of jams - change a type of ammo. Try any other bran
  7. Hi, everyone! Krebs Custom sells AR-15 style peep sight for AK. Have anyone try this new sight with AK or Saiga? http://www.krebscustom.com/CustomParts.html I'm thinking about ordering one. It seems to be a nice possibility to have M16A2 sight on my Saiga-12. What do you think? WBR, Sergey
  8. Hi, everyone! My name is Sergey, I'm from Moscow, Russia, and I'm the guy from the above pic. I must dissapoint You - it is really a fake. I've made this pic with "ZakherBakher's LE-only Saiga-12K and a CD case, looking alike a real drum. As far as I know, there are only three types of Saiga-12 original Russian mags - a 5-round, an 8-round and a newest 10-round one. An 8-round mag is the most reliable one, almost as reliable, as a tubular magazine of classic shotguns. When creating Saiga-12 it took almost a year to create a reliable 8-round box mag for 12ga shells, while creating Saiga-1
