Anyone ever shoot these through a Paradox choke tube on their S-12? I'm interested in finding a sabot I can shoot to 200 yards+ out of the S-12.... yes i know that Rifles are better suited.... but Whatever! Let me know if you've used the Paradox to shoot some slugs and found ones that shoot well. ~SN

The only 3" slugs i can find are Winchester. They are substantially more powerful than their 2 3/4 counterparts. 200FPS and 500ft lbs of energy more than a 2 3/4 load.

Do you guys ever shoot 20ga rifled slugs? What kind of accuracy do you see? What's the maximum effective range? Thanks!

First, check to see if there is anything in the chamber. Next, make sure you're using 7.62x39 in a 7.62x39 gun. Check the charging handle side for the caliber marking. If those first two are Ok, then just put a round in the magazine, pull back the handle all the way, and release it, don't "ride the bolt" into battery. It won't hurt your gun to let it cycle as it would during firing anyway.

I've been watching the RFB myself and think it's a sexy rifle. Keltech said they were planning for a .223 variant. That is actually what I'm waiting for. I know $1000-$1500 for a .223 is a lot but something about it makes me like the idea. -

Razr. One quick law about VA. No drum and folding stock on the same gun. Just keep that in mind when you design your conversion. Keep the stock fixed if you want to use the 20rd drums! ~SN Welcome!

Most AK side mounts sit slightly off to the left of center. I wont use a scope on my 100 because it sits too high. The irons are nice on it anyway.

The best mags imo are the 10rd AGP.

I have an 07 S-12 and a 99 S20. I can load a full mag on a closed bolt on both. the S-20 is more rifle like than the S-12. But both can be Rock n. locked without modification. The KEY is to minimize the rocking distance. I.E. insert the mag at the shallowest angle of attack possible to get the front lug engaged. After that, rock it in and go.

Honestly, some of the best shooting ammo i've used is 150gr Winchester SuperX "Power Point" hunting ammo. Produced THE best group i've ever shot with my .308v21 at 1.4"@200yrds.
