I received one these Konus spotting scopes for Christmas: http://www.opticsplanet.com/konus-konuspot-20-60x100-spotting-scope.html I couldn't afford a good Kowa or high end Leupold and after a lot of good reviews from other users I settled on the 20-60x100. Good clarity and focus plus, I have no problems finding my AR-15 .223 groups on paper at 200 yards. You will need a very good tripod as this is a heavy scope with a lot of glass.

The previous posts here about the MRAPs being costly to maintain are absolutely correct. My original Jeric LRBHO kit works very well and my reload times have definitely improved during 3-gun stages as I feel the bolt lock back after firing, prompting an instinctive mag change. Plus I don't have to fight a closed bolt with a full magazine or download by one round to get the mag to seat.

Years ago, a friend bought several rounds of 12 ga. flechette rounds at a gun show and we proceeded to pattern the rounds at a private range. At approximately 40 yards, almost half of the flechettes hit the paper sideways and several were bent into a letter "J" going through the paper target. Not very impressive to say the least.

Come to think of it, CMMG at the 2009 Shot Show was considering marketing an AR-10 type 12 guage, box mag-fed shotgun similar to the RAS 12, but for whatever reason never put it into production. I'm seeing more and more Mk 1919 shotguns at 3-gun matches. Some rival very high dollar Saiga-12 raceguns in gunsmith modifications and run exceptionally well.

Anti-sieze paste isn't necessary, but it will prevent carbon and fouling from getting into the threads of the gas plug. It won't blow off or evaporate from the hot gasses from the piston assembly or most gun cleaning solvents. It also is excellent for choke tube threads and once applied, it will last for quite some time.

Anyone ask Eric Holder if he had an alibi during the time period these firearms went missing?

I have an older RobArms Vepr II in .223 and the Promags work perfectly in my rifle. A couple mags needed to be used several times to become reliable, but I've never had a misfeed once broken in due the magazine. My rifle had a bullet guide installed by RobArms by the way.

GunFun, several of us local Saiga-12 owners tried bolt buffers when they first came out and found them to be a good way to make your Saiga shotgun unreliable. During one match, my Saiga was getting constant FTF's and so was another competitor's Saiga. Frustrated over the malfunctions, we both pulled the buffers out and the FTF's immediately ceased. I've never used one since nor do I advise other to use them.
