  1. What's the going rate these days ? Devin_C1 is his forum name. I have shamed... thanks for setting it straight
  2. Thanks Devin, i also got the heads-up from Scoutjoe on another thread i was running. I just ordered the bullet guide from Dinzag a little while ago, the new website is great. Thanks again....... http://www.dinzagarms.com/ hes got a new website all of his prices r there check it out. later devin
  3. Thanks,Joe. Google didn't help 'cause like a bonehead i was typing "danzig" instead of DINzag. My bad. By the way, are you also drinking rum and cokes and watching the military channel ?
  4. hey Joe, i'm also trying to get some contact info and prices for Danzigs bullet guides. It's probably right in front of my face here, but as usual, i ain't seein' it. Any help muchly appreciated........M.
  5. I got one from him last year but no longer have his contact info. I'm looking to get another, i also need to know total price including shipping. many thanks,.......
  6. Thanks again,Joe. I got one a month or two ago for another rifle, paid right about $50, but can't remember from where. Could have been DPHarms, copes,AIM,centerfire, who knows, I may have the receipt still lying around. Classicarms used to have them pretty cheap, but i think they're gone, i'll take a look now..... quote name='scoutjoe' date='Mar 27 2008, 09:51 PM' post='216721'] doing what i can, i'm leafing through the shotgun news i'll post if i find another one cheaper
  7. Hi guys, long time no see. I would guess that the Romanian wire side-folder will fit the stamped russian receiver on the saiga x39, but i thought i should check with the pros before ordering. And while i'm here, who has the best deal on them these days? ( the stocks,i mean). Many thanks.........M.
  8. yeah, i ordered a 4x POSP from them for $124 sometime last year. They took long enough to send it that i panicked and started my own "background check" on them, but everyone said they were just a little slow, not to worry, and they were right. It arrived soon after, works like a champ. I now recommend Kalinka....m.
  9. check out AR-15.com, they've have a bi-weekly updated ammo price/vendor list that's the best around, i believe. click on "AK47",then click on "ammunition" then at the top of that page will be a stickied link. there's even a feature where you type in your zip code and it calculates your shipping as well, though i've found it to be a little unaccurate. the best i've seen IIRC was (yesterday) at copes, a case of golden tiger $185 delivered. but i had to go through the whole photocopying and faxing my license routine, so i said screw it, and called AIM and ordered two 500 round cases of brown bea
  10. anyone got a line on those canvas chi-com chest rigs that hold 3 mags ? i've been looking, and they're either sold out,or way over priced. help a brutha out .
  11. "AMMOMAN.com currently has Golden Tiger at $179.00 for 1000 rounds with FREE shipping. That works out to less than the $3.99 per box of 20 that you were quoted. I ordered a case from them a few weeks ago at that price (which is still current) and had no issues. In looking around, that is the best deal out there for 7.62x39 ammo." actually,AIM is a little cheaper. i'm getting a case of GT delivered to georgia ($18 s&h) for a total of $177. hey, it's TWO bucks !!!
  12. sure,taurus.....but i don't know how anxious he is to do anymore of these. he mentioned a couple times that the project was more involved than we'd been led to believe, and i told him " yeah, i figured as much. this looked like a recipe for insanity or suicide on my part !!" i have a buddy with a saiga,so after completion, i asked if he'd do any more now that he knew what was involved, or if he'd rather pass on it. he said he'd probably do it but he'd charge more. couldn't tell if he was joking or not. anyway....his name is mike, the operation is Bullseye Bluing at 5045 milgen court, suite 13,
  13. dude, i got my local gunsmith to move/install the new trigger and trigger guard for $35. the more i read and hear, the more i think it's the best $35 i ever spent !!
  14. i'm still thinking about having devin do the tapering and venting of the handguard on my x39, and would like to show it to a couple folks. can anyone post a picture ? thanks......
