1. Congrats on joining the ranks of the FREE STATES!! WELL DONE! 2. I wouldnt knock birdshot as this SBS, IMHO, should not be used for home defense or anything of the sort. For "plinking" birdshot is fun and inexpensive. Buck & slugs have their place but thats your choice. PLus they make for a HELL OF A MUZZLE BLAST. 3. Barrel length seems like it might be important to you because of the 25-50 yards I'm assuming? Or did you mean feet? If your going 0-50 yards I would probably go for a 10-14" SBS. If you meant 0-50 feet then I would go with a 8" SBS. I have a Tromix S17, 8" and

I think it's funny how I posted this thread almost two years ago and members are still replying. I think the interesting question has not been asked yet...."Have I sold it?" The answer is, "No, I still have my M10 tucked away, safe and sound in the safe." What's also a big plus is that I have bought a progressive reloader and I will be rolling my own rounds here shortly. I guess the M10 will be seeing more daylight here shortly!!

just ordered a 45 acp Lee loader
MCASgt New River replied to MegamanX's topic in Reloading and Ammunition
I just bought a Lee Progressive 1000 .45acp with the .40 and 9mm die sets. Going by Lee's "Auto-Disk" powder charge suggestion for 185gr bullets 98% of my first batch of rounds would FTE or stove pipe on me. Thinking I "may" need to go to the max load...I was using the minimum as suggested to start off. And yes that Hodgdon link is like a GOLD MINE!! Good info there for all calibers, bullets, and powders. +1 JT!! Gunny NR -
I am cutting my V- 12 to pin a brake on Which one?
MCASgt New River replied to Aeromat209's topic in NFA Section
Unless you have an FFL/SOT manufacturing license you can't cut below 18 inches regardless if you blind pin and silver solder tugs brake on. Once you cut below 18 your in possession of an unregistered SBS. JUST MY TWO CENTS THOUGH... I'm sure o others will come in as this has come up before on the S12 side of the house MANY, MANY times. Most expensive property/home purchase $151k, car $31k, weapon $5k. Biggest bill I was able to walk away from owing ZERO DOLLARS without paying a cent...my youngest sons birth. He spent an additional 11 days in the N.I.C.U. due to upper respiratory infection. Total hospital bill...$210k. All amounts were rounded to the nearest thousand and to the best of my recollection.

To the OP, As stated by a well, known, licensed dealer and gunsmith you need to have your weapon checked out by a qualified individual. Please do not risk your life or limb trying to fix this weapon on your own. I hope this thread and the members that posted has helped you. Respectfully, Gunny NR

I looking for something more than the normal GOOGLE reviews about this rifle. Does anyone here have one, how do you like it, what are the pro/cons if any, and what would you say the current market value is? Thanks, Gunny NR

OK, so for a first post this is something serious. Please post pictures for everyone to see of your weapon, the bolt stuck and the mag (or whats left of it) for everyone to see. I'm sure the knowledgeable smiths out there will have something to say. I do have to ask the same question as physicsnerd asked, "What ammo are you shooting?" GySgt NR

Thanks everyone...I'm having an awesome day so far. Started off with a Blueberry, chocolate chip pancakes complete with sliced strawberries and topped off with a old fashion breakfast burrito! That should carry me through lunch time and then off to Appleby's from a free dinner. It's great to have been born on Veteran's Day. I usually get a free entrée and desert!! Semper Fidelis, Gunny NR
