  1. Hmmm, I smell a cottage industry of wire mesh embedded cell phone cases coming up.. Like the foil lined passport wallets. Acer
  2. Wow, this is sad. The tailor in me immediately said, "How cheesy, she didn't even bother hemming the edges!" She and the material are both ugly though... Acer
  3. I would imaging that bullet drop charts are calibrated by zeroing at 0 yards so that you're consistent across calibers or something... Acer
  4. I used automotive touchup paint. I got a tissue and rolled up a corner and dipped it in the paint and then touched it to the groove for the letter and let it wick out. I got impatient and just used the bush in the bottle on some letters, and as long as you wipe the extra away quickly (but lightly, so you don't pull it out of the letters) it doesn't stain the finish much at all. Hope that helps, Acer
  5. *Peeks out from under rock* Uhh, guys? Who's CNR? Acer
  6. Not sure if I agree 100% on all your tenets, but you've got a few good points. Hang in there, Acer
  7. I have a converted S-308, and can tell you with confidence that if you're just trying to get a better trigger pull, a true conversion is the easiest simplest way to get that. Sure you can rig it with a .223/x39 linkage pin set, but there's a reason you don't see normal guns with funky wishbone linkages and such. It adds friction and play exactly where you want neither. That's about all I've got to say, Acer Best of luck with whatever you end up doing.
  8. 1 is the trigger linkage (specific to the unconverted Saiga) and 2 is the disconnector. Acer
  9. http://www.dinzagarms.com/saiga_308/308fsb.html According to this, it seems like it'd be either .631" or .671" Acer
  10. Many video cards today have the capability of sending the signal rotated 90 degrees or 180 or 270. So you could just mount your 24"er on its side... Acer
  11. I've heard good things about CZ .22s. I like my little Marlin Papoose. Acer
  12. Keep your ears peeled for MSA's immanent announcement that's supposed to be really frickin' cool. Ear to the ground, Acer
  13. I'll second (third?) the sentiment that it looks kinda cool, aside from the Crapco stock. I'm gonna have to call ya on this one and give it a thumbs up. Acer
  14. I find this an interesting question that comes up every so often, and the short answer I'd give is customize your gun however you like. The long answer would be: You don't know how heavy a trigger your pick-up gun is going to have, so should you leave your 15-pound-trigger-pull AK that way? No! Well, what about the pistol grip? Some pick-up AKs will probably have the standard russian grip, does that mean you can't have an Ergo grip on yours? Basically, just because other guns might not be as "tricked out" as yours is not a reason to leave yours plain-jane. You want to be as effective as you

    Question

Hey, in that youtube video, at the very end, it shows a lefty Saiga! Either that, or they flipped the video, but I'm not sure why they would have done that. Curious, Acer
  16. Ah! It's a fanboat on wheels with a paraglider on top! Nice!
  17. Get a couple of wire coat hangers and a butterfly net and go to town! That's my $.02 anyway, Acer
