  1. I bought one myself and was impressed by it for the price. I put 20 rounds of 00 buck, about 10 round of federal express long range turkey loads through it, which all cycled fine. Provided I kept a firm shoulder. I also tried estate and it didn't even move the bolt.

Since then I've completely broke down, throughly cleaned and sanded all the drag areas. As well as rounded those sharp corners on the mag (probably the biggest annoyance so far). I'll try some low brass again soon though probably not estate.

Very nice. Glad to see people taking notice. I have a couple of projects in the works for the magazines. I refinished one of the receivers using Dupli-Color low gloss black engine enamel and it came out great. I also painted the same gun's brown furniture using Krylon Dual Superbond paint + primer and it looks better than the factory black.

  2. I shot a couple of videos showing the SAS-12 that was recently imported by DDI. If anyone is looking for information, I cover most things in the videos. I own 3 of these shotguns now. Great firearms for the price for sure.

The first video shows the unboxing and disassembly / overview of the shotgun itself. The second video shows the new factory 5-Round magazines that I pre-ordered, compared to the original 3-round mags.

  3. I know this forum doesn't get a ton of traffic anymore (shame sad.png ), but some people may appreciate this.

Here's my GSG AK-22 "Rebel Edition". I just added the triangle folder today. Since it's a .22lr, I just picked up a $25 steel airsoft triangle folding stock that was nearly a perfect replica and filed a few places a hair at a time until it fit and functioned perfect. Also opened the latch area on the stock a little bit so it would lock up solid open and closed. I got the folding adapter and solid polymer folder set just to use the folding adapter. Also pictured is my SilencerCo Sparrow Stainless suppressor with Gemtech 1/2x28 thread adapter. I am going to re-finish the grip and handguards in a deep red soon.

Playing with the idea of doing another similar AK-22 as an SBR with the front sight moved back and transplanted onto the "gas block", because why not?

If anyone knows where I can purchase the cheap GSG folding adapter without the poly stock, please let me know. I have a couple of other projects I would like to start.

I'm also looking for the black polymer GSG AK-22 furniture for one or more of said projects.

    Anyway, onto the photos...

  4. With the new batch of these shotguns coming in and selling for $139.00, I thought I would ask if you have any magazine plans for the SAS12. I haven't really seen them talked about in a few years, but I picked one up two days ago from my dealer and I have another one on the way. There are supposed to be five-round magazines coming in soon, but other than that, there are still absolutely no magazine options for this shotgun, due to it's previous lack of popularity.

Any chance you might give this a shot? The demand is definitely there.

  5. Edit: Disregard. I found the only adapter around for it made by Gemtech.

Recently picked up a GSG .22lr AK "Rebel Edition" for my 4 and a half year old son to start practicing on. It has a removable barrel nut with female threads that it goes into. Does anyone know the thread size? I would like to have a custom adapter machined to use one of my suppressors on it.

    Any help is appreciated!

  6. I just want to say, I logged on here tonight to send Bo a message and saw the news. Me and Bo talked quite a bit through private chat back when he was in the chat every night, about everything from firearms to his personal life. I never got to meet him in person but most definitely considered him a real friend. Deeply saddened.

Rest In Peace, Bo. You're part of the universe now.

  7. KC,

I sent of a Form 1 for SBS the same day that I sent off the form 1 to SBR one of my 107URs, in November. They are both pending, but I probably won't have stamps in hand until May. Everything is engraved and ready top chop. I'll be going 11 3/8" and using a PolyChoke to get out to around 12.5". I'm waiting on 3 other stamps and holding on to that last thread of sanity while I wait for what seems like forever. I should be getting 2 any day now and I think that is all that is holding me together right now.

Looks like yours is about 13"? Correct?

The fixed stock S12 is the 3 Gun rig. I haven't decided what to do with it yet, but I definitely won't be putting a folder on it. I may install the CTR and buffer tube off of my arfcom factory SBR lower when I am allowed to possess it. I'll probably go with the R&R adapter. I have some other ideas for the arfcom lower and the CTR might slide less on my shouder than a traditional AKM/AK100 stock. Believe it or not. That one is becoming my favorite. The M.A.G.12 adds a whole new element to it. Makes me much quicker. I might grab one of those magwells for the SBS.

Mine is 12.5". Doesn't require a choke or high power ammo to cycle. If Russian magwell mags become readily available at a fair price I may stick an Izzy magwell on it. Still have more plans for it (RSB mod and a few other things).

  8. This is why I am confused.

Look at this page (it seems to be a recommended agazine)

    http://www.mississip...zine-p-140.html

They say that If I use a 30 round magazine, I have to change something else to keep the gun legal.

But here I am being told that using an 'import' magazine over 10 rounds makes the gun illegal.

But the 30 round magazine listed above is made in America.

I'm I just having an elderly moment here that I don't understand this?

Most of us just prefer surplus steel magazines. You can almost buy 3 of them for the cost of 1 crappy U.S. made polymer mag.

If the magazine is U.S. made, it counts as 3 compliance parts all by itself. If the mag is foreign, you have to replace a few more parts on the gun for it to be legal with the foreign 30rd mag inserted.

  9. Hope you plan on sending a form 1 off soon, evlblkwpnz. You can't have 4 and not SBS at least 1 or 2 of them. I had 3, SBS'd 1 and have since sold the other 2. Now I want to buy 1 or 2 more for additional SBS configurations.

Lovely pics, though. :) Get to work on that last non-folder. It looks like the ugly duckling sitting all alone with nobody to play with. sad.png
