  1. I bought the kit from Rusmilitary when they were available. It is something that I am not going to get around to finishing, as I do not have ability to machine center support. In original packaging, $75.00 Shipped, No Paypal.
  2. No need to thread the barrel if your going to permanently attach a muzzle device. Just slide it over the barrel & silver solder.
  3. I understand your frustration. I am looking to do the same thing, but I do not want a Vepr or an 030 because they both have the combo gas block/fsb and they both have the magwell, neither of which is what I want to end up with. I bought a yugo rpk rsb with the idea of modifying it to work, but have not started that project yet. Right now the POHF option is looking better, at least it would be done when it gets back. Still undecided though, I would like to do it myself, but it would be simpler to just send it off.
  4. Maybe just like 7.62x54 stacks in a PSL mag?
  5. A couple of pics a guy in Russia sent me that may help, but I also think the center support would be needed to make it work. Edit to add a couple of a little better pics.
  6. Until I read it on ATF web site it's just bs.

  8. Apparently TGI has just gotten out of the building business and is now just doing imports. All of the custom and assembly work is now going to be done by Waffen Werks in Knoxville. FPK Truck Gun is history once existing stock is sold. FPK-AK is looking better than ever. I expect the 74 truck gun is gone now as well. New announcement posts & info on the akforum under vendors section.
  9. You can even get these without ever leaving the forum. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=44958
  10. Your wrong in your thinking. Sure 3x3 is shorter than 4x2, but it all fits into a shell that's either 2 3/4 or 3" long. The difference is made up in the wad, it is made with a length to fit the intended load. Look at the Aguila loads. They put a 00 buck round into a shell less than 2" long. they just won't function in all guns.
  11. uhhhh, No, you don't. What you do have is nickel plated and it will work fine with the poly choke.
  12. The last time I checked Tantal had new S12 Covers for sale at less than $20. Might be cheaper than spending the time fabbing a dummy cover. If you want to make something how about spraying the cover with silicone, putting it in a small box and filling with plaster of paris. Let it harden overnight, then you've got a mold. Pour that full of wax and you've got a wax cover, or use fiberglass for something more durable.
  13. Try it first, you might be suprised at how well it does. Most of the talk about the zero moving is from people guessing it might happen. However, the modifications consist of folding a thin piece of sheet metal over the bottom of the square hole, and grinding a taper on the bottom of the retainer so it always holds the cover under tension. You can read about the mods here: http://www.theakforum.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=67103
  14. Send an email to Cadiz or call to verify warranty status. If a replacement barrel is not in the works then just shoot it. It will not weaken the barrel significently. Much less than some of the ports I've seen put in shotgun barrels.
  15. Just found this, kinda suprising results: http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/lid=10700/guntechdetail/Gun_Cleaning_Clinic__Knowing_the_Limits_of_Rust_Preventatives
  16. You've got a neighbor that offers that service. Give him a pm. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showforum=86
  17. He bored them at an angle. And if it's throwing hulls 20 feet it is now seriously over gassed.
  18. One of the ones that Oleg had for sale. If you want to sell send me a pm. Thanks!
  19. And now you begin to see the beginning of the problem. There are none.
