  1. I haven't been around for awhile, figured some may want to chime in on this. The ATF/DOJ is doing a call for comments for this topic, I know this personally pertains to many of us, there are currently over 4000 comments from pro- and anti- folks. Machine Guns, Destructive Devices and Certain Other Firearms: Background Checks for Responsible Persons of a Corporation, Trust or Other Legal Entity with Respect to Making or Transferring a Firearm http://www.regulations.gov/#!docketDetail;D=ATF-2013-0001 The Department of Justice is planning to finalize a proposed rule to amend the regul
  2. My aunt Lucy has my grandfather's Winchester 1894 circa 1907, I'm looking for a referral for an apraiser in the AZ she's mid way between Phoenix and Tucson, does anyone know anyone decent? Just want her to take it someplace which won't just tell her "Oh .. that thing is junk, we'll give you $200 for it." She sent some pics, it does have some finish issues, but does have a hex barrel and is chambered in .32 Winchester both according to the BB increase the value significantly. Unfortunately the pics she sent were taken in the dark with a mobile phone, so they're not good enough to get an
  3. I'll be happy to update. Just to clarify... Even though the sear and the trigger are literally two different pieces they are considered one part? Does the puck still constitute a part? Thanks Paul
  4. I haven't been around for awhile, been working on other projects away from Saiga rifles and shotguns. Some of you may use my 922r calculator. I get about 17 hits per day which is a lot, considering it is a fairly obscure topic. http://jobson.us/922r/ I recently made the project open source, so anyone can clone it as long as they follow the very basic license which is included with the files. https://github.com/pjobson/922r Basically, this means that if my calculator disappears for some reason, you can always get a copy from github.com and host it yourself on your own web p
  5. All Saiga rifles and shotguns have that.

There are some pics at this thread of the internals. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=129382
  7. Think of a switchblade, when the blade is closed, the spring is compressed; you can leave the knife closed for years, next time you hit the button the knife will pop open. The spring isn't going to wear out while compressed, unless it is stored some place where it is going to get corroded.
  8. Every time I've gone the cheap route on a gun part, I've wound up throwing it away after it breaks or doesn't fit right or falls apart or just turns out to be a piece of shit. When buying parts for your firearm, I've always found buying high quality parts from well known vendors always works out in my favor; yes, I pay more, but when I do I get parts which will last a long time. Let's say you buy a UTG quad rail for your S12 and have some kind of issue with it, who are you going to contact with your questions? If you buy a Chaos rail and have any question, you can contact Cameron directly o
  9. I have a ton of ammo, mostly 7.62x39, 7.62x54R and .223. I'm not really that worried about SHTF, I have access to property as a fall-back point, with fresh water and a lake full of fish. Be prepared, have some food and water, keep your friends close and make sure you teach them how to shoot your guns, I have enough guns and ammo to arm each of my friends and have enough left over for some of their friends. If the shit actually hits the fan, don't expect to survive on your own, humans need other humans.
  10. I find it extremely humorous that you were just arguing physics with the dude in the AK pistol thread about physics.
  11. My 922r calculator was down for the last few weeks, due to the server biting the dust, it is back online now. http://jobson.us/922r/
  12. Might check with Bob, he's got a ton of stuff, if he doesn't have it listed, he may have it laying around. http://www.gun-parts.com/
  13. Greg sells them. http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/servlet/-strse-456/SAIGA-12-DIE-BARREL/Detail
  14. So, I was at the Chantilly VA Nations Gun Show a couple weeks ago on Sunday, I went up there Friday evening for a quick walk through then went back Sunday and found a great price on a Saiga 7.62x39 only $749 .. unconverted.
