New Jersey residents beware!
vbrtrmn replied to grommit666's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Dear NJ Gun Owning Residents, Come to Virginia, we have a lot of jobs and actually want you here. There is currently only one thing on our ban list which is the Striker Streetsweeper gun, that's it. Want some "high cap" mags, cool, pistol grip Saiga-12 no problem, put whatever you want on that puppy! Want to buy a gun, go to a dealer, there are three in Manassas alone, do your NICS check and walk out with it. Want to give a gun to your son when he turns 18, no problem, intrastate personal transfers are fine here. Want a conceal carry permit, no problem take a basic course, head up to -
If there is a good way to be a liar, you found it! I'll check out the site (again) tomorrow.

Okay, I don't fucking get it. This guy has a toy 1911 with a Gemtech "silencer", he repeats "silencer" many times, then toward the end says, "...silencer or suppressor I should say." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b88nmCegcbY My favorite part is that he's waving it around next to a somewhat busy street!

"To Do" list for the Mods...
vbrtrmn replied to Juggernaut's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Old Thread Warning I saw this on THR, looks like a good option to keep zombie threads from constantly returning from the dead. User needs to check the box, before they proceed. -
I saw a basic converted S12 for $1600 on consignment at one of the shops I frequent, it had all the basic Tapco gear on it, FCG was moved forward, but nothing special. Seems like gun shows are just like anything else, people either don't know what something is worth and they think they can get way more for it than market value OR people are trying to gouge. In the end, if one can't be bothered doing any research on something they buy, it is on them.
-
I don't buy from CTD, due to them gouging customers. I don't buy from Sportsman's Guide, due to poor customer service. I normally just check out gun-deals.com or ammoengine.com and buy from other dealers.

Saiga12 RH receiver crossed out, what was there?
vbrtrmn replied to secretkeeper's topic in K-Var Corp
Mine has the same thing and was made in 2001, never really thought about it. -
I flagged your post for moderator review, they can probably help you out.

Might be a good excuse to buy an air hammer... seriously though great idea!
-
I had bad customer service from them, couldn't get the issue worked out, so I stopped dealing with them. I try to stick to smaller outfits now, where the owner actually is interested in providing good service to everyone, like most of the vendors here.

No deal will make me want to buy from SG again.

Found 240 rounds of Norinco 7.62x39 at a garage sale
vbrtrmn replied to KC913's topic in Reloading and Ammunition
I went to an estate sale a few months ago with my father, they had advertised some "gun stuff". The guy who died had a bunch of reloading stuff, brass, some ammo, and other tools. They were all freaking retail price of higher. Good find on that Norinco ammo!! -

Damn straight, I want a belt fed Mosin!! Personally I think the market for the PSL is too small for most manufacturers to bother with high cap mags for it. You might try modifying one of these mags to work with a PSL, that's the only suggestion I've got. http://www.ima-usa.com/product_info.php/products_id/2928

AK-47 brass butane lighters
vbrtrmn replied to KC913's topic in Unsorted Ads prior to November 2012 (WTS / WTT)
Thanks man, I had a doubt for a second, but pretty much every deal like this I've gotten into has gone way into overtime, so I wasn't too stressed about it. Hope you're doing well. -
Stop and do some research on what you're interested in getting, there are a huge number of types of AK-style rifle. Google AK-47 and start looking at pictures, to get a feel for the style you are interested in. Then go from there.

Yeah, a buddy of mine got the T6, then I convinced him to convert; he wanted to use the original T6 grip, it wouldn't work on his converted gun, it is different enough to not work right. If you're in VA, I'll help you convert it!

Hello From Virginia - Any other Richmonders here?
vbrtrmn replied to cromags's topic in The Competitor's Corner / TEAM SAIGA
I'm in Manassas, feel free to message me about meeting up or doing your conversion. I get down to Richmond sometimes, maybe once or twice a year for shows, though my schedule for rolling down there is erratic. -
I have a Norinco MAK-90, great gun, if I was going to buy another AK variant, I'd probably just buy a Saiga and convert it.
-
A buddy of mine has one, has no problems with it. I have no technical knowledge aside from his opinion.
