  1. LOP is usually measured from the crease at your elbow when bent at a 90 degree to your trigger finger first knuckle bent at a 90 degree. mine works out to 13 or 13 1/4 i can live with 13 1/2 if i have to. You would measure from the trigger to end end of the stock to see if your stock is set up for your particular LOP. i initially went with collapsible stock and found that the best setting was within this range. Now it seems that the Warsaw stock seems to be a little under 13 maybe 12 3/4 or a bit more and feels OK. If i put the slip on butt pad my lop is about 13 1/2 and works well when
  2. great communication and fast shipping.
  3. get very fine needle nose pliers and try to grab any bit of the tap and back (reverse) it out. if that doesn't work you can try using a small flat head screw driver (very small and thin ) tap the tap in reverse to back it out take your time.
  4. Just a thought. when it installed my bullet guide the button head screw had to be filed down a bit to let the rounds chamber fully. Never had an issue with any rounds after that. check your brass to see if there are any marks where they may be coming in contact with the head of the screw.
  5. where did you buy your bullet guide? check out the dinzag link offered as it should give you a good reference. could it be possible you have it in back wards? if not then yes you may have to do some filing or dremel work to get it to fit flush to the base. Don't forget little bits at a time and test fit often. good luck Oh yeah!! once its in you May have to file the head of the screw so the rounds will clear completely. It happened with mine but not all installs.
  6. what the!!!! now how am i supposed to save money for ammo when they keep doing this?
  7. found it http://www.solartactical.com/product.sc?productId=25&categoryId=14
  8. yes i did and it works super well. I can't remember exactly where i bought them but i have them on all my saigas. easy to rivet. I just took a hex head bolt i had lying around and with help from this forum i use a dremmel to hollow out the head to fit the rivet then use a metal backing and hammered away. ditching the BHO is a personal preference. it would save time. i like it especially when i am at the range. It really isn't critical as you can use a plastic flag as the range. I have just gotten used to it.
  9. glad you were able to get thos pins out after using the lock tite. I can't say enough of about how much fun these rifles are. watch out as they can become addicting. i started with the 7.62 then sold my .308 to get a S12 then sold my s20 gauge to get the .223. Now if i had the money i would have kept the others as well. I shoot these all the time. along with my 10/22. do more research on this site and you tube on how to strip clean etc. it will be a big help. here is another good place to get info. http://firearms.atactv.com/index.cfm?event=home.index&tab=categories&categ
  10. sorry to hear it! did the same about six years ago with my dad now i am re starting a life in El Paso to be near my mom and provide her with assistance. Hope things get better soon. it has taken me a while to get things back on a positive track but i think i am on my way. It is strange as i thought i was done grieving until i moved back here. Every once in a while it still hits me. take you time with it.
  11. many just leave it out. I like it and kept mine in. there are a couple of things that will help. file or dremmel a small notch or grove where the leg of the BHO spring leg rests on the BHO. this will help keep it from ever falling off. then push your BHO tab up AS far as it will go make a mark a line on using the receiver as your guide. next i dremmeled mine back at about a 45 degree angle so it would still function and be out of the way of my trigger finger. remember fit test and don't take off small bits a at a time. smooth edges when finished. The holes in receiver will get the plasti

  13. i have the Krebs rear peep with the XS 24/7 front post. i just put a tech sight on my 10/22 all i can say is "sweet!!!". i was bummed that the tech sight for the AK didn't have a yardage graduation for quick bullet drop compensation. I am ashamed to say that i didn't even think that setting when you set the sight to 100 hundred then flip to bigger aperture you would have yardage graduation. then if you got the model that allowed rear elevation you could set and mark the 300 yard mark. this way with narrow aperture you would have 100, flip to bigger aperture quick 200 and then ro
  14. Bore Tech check out the vids in Krink 40,000 round test & inspection report and Comprehensive Bench Cleaning (ak47 cleaning parts 1 and 2) they even have Ak amorers vids very informative. great info and the product does work as advertised. i have used it and when you go to clean the next time it is easier and less time needed. i bought small bottles first still haven't gone through them but i don't super bath my weapons like they do. you won't be dissapointed. http://firearms.atactv.com/

  23. ok went out today with federal bulk. My 12 doesn't like it at all. this is unusual as i hear its the winchester that gives everyone problems. still no issues with double taps just when i try to pull the trigger as fast as i can. i wander if i am not keeping tight check weld. still when i see some of the old pics guys are getting rapid fire with no recoil assistance form their body. I forget who it is that demo's his on finger tech while holding the stock of the weapon under his arm. Now am i being picky? maybe? i don't have this issue when i shot single or double tap rounds so the wea
