Guys, I just tested mine before doing the conversion. All I have to shoot right now is some cheap Remington birdshot. I ran it on gas setting two without issue. Then out of curiosity I checked the gas ports and found that it has only two. Considering that it cycled fine with birdshot, is there any reason to do anything about the gas ports? I might pull the gas block and check the diameter. Maybe it has two bigger ones?

Picked one up yesterday locally for $600 with sales tax.

Stick with your Orlites. The Weigers require your mag latch to be ground. Some folks grind just enough to get the Weigers to fit, which leaves them with loose (but functional) Orlites.... Have fun. That's what I figured. Thanks for confirming.

If you're set up to use the Galil orlite mags, will these work without any modification? I'd like to get some, but I don't want to have to make any mod that renders my orlites unusable or unreliable.
