  1. HarvKY are the feeds lips reinforced? I'd be interested in your review after you use them.
  2. Nice build. I see you left a chunk of the side rail on? I know that goes into the rear trunnion. What I did when I remove my side rail was ground it off and then drilled and tapped it and ran a small bolt in. Looks factory.
  3. I really hope those are crap and fail frequently. It will make me feel better about spending the money to put a real Aimpoint MRD on a my Ultimak rail.
  4. Love it, on another sight I'm on someone looped the fight scene where the old dude just goes off on the punk. Classic!
  5. On mine, I did indeed trim the cover, but there is not a large gap, it's a pretty close fit. The Saiga's have lots of "gaps" I didn't think one more was going to make a huge difference.
  6. I made my first hinged cover for my 6.5 Grendel build, I have another working prototype on my X39 and and have about finished the S12 version. Great minds think alike.
  7. Thanks for the vids, too much fun. Just added the magwell to my S12, it's testing time.
  8. I have EDC'd a Surefire E2D Defender for years. I have dropped it, banged it and got it soaked too many times to count and it still works.
  9. Merrry Christmas, Hanukkah, Festivis, etc, etc. I hope the best for everyone and their families in the coming year.
  10. All the old timers here know I'm an atheist, but I don't shove it down anyone's throat as that is my main complaint about the bible thumpers that boycott stores that don't say merry christmas, etc. I have never started a thread about my beliefs or lack thereof, or made a point of pointing out every single example of an asshat christan I can find. Its points out our differences instead of our similarities and I feel serves no good purpose. It's a gun forum after all. But hey, it's America. I can read it, or not, and comment, or not. It goes both ways, there are bad examples on bot
  11. Everyone who knows, knows that rifle is the shit, congrats!
  12. We have a competition thread, so yea they can take it. I have taken multiple training classes with no problems. There very tough, durable guns.
  13. Just saw this thread. I carried a G27 for years, it seemed to get heavier over the years and was a pain to conceal in summer clothes. I carry a PF9 now. Super light, super thin, easy to carry when active or lightly dressed. Packed with 8rds of Corbon DPX.
  14. "Prepping" as it is called now, is going mainstream. It used to be only fringe people and those freaky mormans put back food. Now there are articles in major newspapers talking about it. I've been "prepared" since 9/11.
  15. Wow, now I can get National Inquirer articles on a gun forum! Cut and Paste is an amazing, and habit forming technology!
  16. Nice! my 12" that I'm building has the same forearm and stock setup, I also run a MRD. Now I know what it's going to look like!
  17. I chose 7.62x39. For just a marginal increase in recoil you get a round that is more effective in an urban environment where the engagement distances are short and people have a tendency to get behind cars/fences, etc. The increased penetration of the X39 could make the difference.
  18. Sweet rifle!! What model? I realistically have no need for a long range bolt gun, but I've been having a internal, don't need/want, battle for a month or so now over the new Savage Model 10FCP-K. Savage has been building some feature packed rifles lately. They used to be known for "affordable" rifles, now their known for out of the box accuracy.
  19. Woo Hoo! another poll! I do my own work so I am familiar with my weapon.
