  1. I have one and it is a quality piece.
  2. FWIW I used LoneWolf to convert my G35 to 9mm. Nice barrel, except for that big freaking logo they put on it It ran fine with everything but some of the cheap Brown Bear stuff, I put a softer spring in it and it has run 100% for the last 1000+ rds. From my research, you do not have to replace the frame to goto 10mm. But I have not actually done it. I would take Azrial's word for it.
  3. ZS is full of PC homo's with the exception of Davepal, Paladin, LRM and a few others.... Well, there are lost of good folks there... but they fall under that whole PC mindset of the green energy sheeple.... I got Scolded by a Mod over there with a Nazi for an avatar stating that the Norman Thomas "socialism" quote in my sig line was offensive..... Nuff Said.... Oh, and Merry Christmas.... http://audiobookcorner.blogspot.com/search/label/zombies Dude, just like many other forums, you have a wide spectrum of people on ZS. There's a TON of good info on prepping. And I
  4. I have personal experience with 4 different FastFires, 3 have worked fine on a AR, AK, and S12, all told 1000's of rounds. The fourth failed while sighting it in and Burris promptly replaced it. For a inexpensive optic, it's works. YMMV
  5. The damn things are a PITA to adjust!!!! Tiny little freaking screws, no clicks, etc. The only advice I have is to make sure BOTH of the locking screws are screwed out BEFORE any adjustments are done. Then tighten back down and check your POI. Then repeat. If you don't retighten the locking screws the recoil can throw off the adjustment again. And double check that it's fully seated on the rail. good luck!
  6. Happy B-Day WJ!! Wow, you go a whole 1/2 day of no fighting out of your kids!? I can only dream.
  7. I've never heard of water dipping before, that is slick!
  8. Alright Will, who's trashing us!? I've got a vagina full of sand and I'm mighty irritable right now, who is it! let me at 'em!
  9. I'll add to the laughter, I've been running the Ultimak tube and Burris FastFire for about a year now. It's a great budget setup. I've run 3GUN competitions and a 500-600rd class with it without any problems. I have also used it on my S12. I have a friend that also has 2 of them and they've run fine. The hot set up is the Aimpoint H1/T1 on the Ultimak rail. The Aimpoint will allow a co-witness the EOTech will not.
  10. I'd be up for a self regulating system. Gunfixer's plug is working great for me. I use one setting for the birdshot loads and buckshot, then with one easy twist I'm on slugs. It was a huge step up from the factory one. But during a firefight, if a slug shot came up it would be great to just shove in the slug mag and and fire.
  11. No worries Doc... Reminds of how I invented the rear window wiper. Yep, that's right. Way back in 1973, we had a guy from GM come to our school and I asked why they didn't put windshield wipers on the rear glass of cars. His answer was it was too much for the battery, which even at that age I knew he was full of shit because once the car is running the wipers runs off the alternator/generator. The bastard is probably rich today after he ran back to GM with the idea.
  12. I will take a wild guess and say that we are a little rough on people around here sometimes so people bash us elsewhere. If they bitch here that we're being harsh, we'll just pile on more. We're just mean that way.
  13. There's a reason they're called "newbies" But, hey, nice work and welcome to the board!
  14. I can only speak to the courses I have run. Usually there are a fewer slug targets to engage, so for example, if there was 4 slug targets I would load one mag with some birdshot and top off with 4-5 slugs. I would then engage the slug targets first. If I didn't miss and didn't need the extra slug I would just dump the extra slug into the last slug target. The point is that I load enough slugs for the course and take those targets first. If they look like shots you can make then load just enough, take your time and don't miss. On a blind stage I just keep a mag loaded with
  15. That's cool, we need about 10,000 of them along the borders. Oh yea, we really should send this link to the idiots on the other forums that say S12's are toys.
  16. Hey! you quoted me!, don't I get a residual, or a sucker or something? The AgentAk dude was funny. One of those guys who think because they've been around for awhile they have the high ground. He mentioned more than once how he "bled for your right", OK- thanks for your service. But that doesn't make you smarter than anyone else. He also seemed to be taking the "best shotgun ever" in a historical context. Perhaps in the "historical" context the S12 is not the best shotgun ever. It is, however the best, attainable, fighting shotgun on the market today. The simple resolution
  17. Another voter for the FastFire. Mine has a few hundred x39 and a few hundred 12ga rounds on it with no problems. I have a buddy that has one on his S12 and one on top of his ACOG, both have performed well.
  18. I've made four bullet guides and drilled and tapped for each with no problem. I think that you, of course, hear about the jobs that go bad, but don't hear about the many that go fine. I make myself go super slow, 1/2 turn in, then back out, 1/2 turn in, then back out. I also completely remove the tap frequently and clean the tap threads and the hole.
  19. Great job, that looks slick! I have a poly' also, now you've got me thinking....
