  1. It's already offered as the FSC47 for the AK and is what JESS1344 is using.
  2. CNC Warrior did not mention it as one for the .308 when I called, but a user on another forum said that was what he was using. I have posted similar questions on several forums and several people keep saying that the pressure from a .308 is a non issue. I do not want to take any chances on messing up my rifle. I called Battlecomp and they said that their AK comp would work on a .308. I wonder how many even know or have tried their products on a Vepr .308. I know that I do not want to be the guinea pig for someones product.
  3. Any idea what the thread pitch is on the PKM short and long flash hiders from RTG? CNC Warrior has their version for $19.99 and another person said he was using their Russian Original Flash Hider $22.99 (pic below). Image from the CNC Warrior site.
  4. Thanks for the reply, and correction on Brake. I have the PWS FSC on my 6.8 AR and it is a great brake, but loud with a wicked side blast and will catch on things when hunting. I wonder if brakes like the Battlecomp would perform as good and be better for hunting use? Did the PKM short have any effect on accuracy?
  5. I have a square back Vepr .308 with the standard RPK sights. I removed the muzzle cap and it has the standard AK style front with threads and plunger intact. What flash hiders and breaks are safe for use with this Vepr. I contacted CNC Warrior about using some of their AK muzzle devices and they would only recommend their PKM short flash hider and their razorback break. I was hoping to use one of the ones that I already have from them (Type 84 and AIMR) but they were not sure if these would be strong enough for the .308. I am currently leaning toward their PKM short, but would like to kno
  6. Could you be more specific as to what needs to be done to fit the mags, based upon my description of how they are currently fitting? Before buying the mags, I searched around and could only find one post where someone was having fitting issues and that was with a super vepr. You may want to create a thread that lists the major changes made to the mags with approximate dates and how the mags are marked/packaged to assist potental customers in determining if they are buying older mags. I purchased these mags based upon the pictures on your website and from the side they looked like the curren
  7. I just purchased 10 new 20 round .308 Csspecs mags from a former Vepr owner (still sealed in plastic with the anti-corrosion paper). He said that all the mags were purchased new in the early part of 2013. They all have the three ribs, what looks like a blued finish, and the flat floorplate with the round hole (not the newer floorplate that has raised areas). I also just purchased one of the square back Veprs from Centerfire, will these mags require fitting in my Vepr? I tested two of the mags and they both inserted and locked up tight. Based upon the mark on the rear lug, the catch is hol
  8. Thanks for all of the replies. Does anyone know if there is a limb saver slip on recoil pad that will work with the K-Var stock?
  9. I have a traditional style converted Saiga 12 (K-Var buttstock). I purchased one of the Bulgy strap on recoil pads and it is only slightly tight and will fall off. What is the best option for a recoil pad on the Saiga with my K-Var stock? Also, is there a metal adapter that will fit the standard receiver tang without alteration, that will allow the addition of an AR style carbine extension? I am toying with the idead of an Endine buffer. Thanks.
  10. What is the best adapter to use with the Endine? Is there a steel or alloy adapter made for the AK rear tang that is on par with the Vltor AK receiver extension?
  11. The screw on pad sounds like the best solution. The slip on Russian style pads seem to work the best on the triangle metal folders, since they can be secured with the strap. I just hope that the screw on pad will be big enough to be effective for recoil. The worst problem with the K-Var Nato stock on the Saiga 12 is the small footprint of the butt of the stock. The one nice thing about the slip on Russian pad is that it is so big and feels good on the shoulder. Thanks for the replies and I will be looking for the new screw on pad.
  12. My search skills must be lacking as all I could find is one post on the flash hider and it did not discuss if it worked or not. I will keep looking, thanks.
  13. I have a 109 conversion and I am looking for the best recoil pad for the K-Var Nato length stock? I have one of the Bulgarian grenade launcher pads, but it is loose on the stock and will fall off. Is there a decent, works well, recoil pad that will slip on the K-Var Nato length stock and stay on? Thanks in advance for all help.
  14. I have been looking at the DPH Russian style muzzle break and 10 slot flash hider and was wondering if these were good or is there something better? I have a converted 109 and like the Russian look, but want a US muzzle attachment that works and will help with recoil if possible. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
