That DevCon stuff looks expensive. Will a little JB Weld do the same thing?

I plan on filling in the rest of the importer's stamp with JB weld or similar before I spray it with moly resin. - Looks kinda silly with a hole in the middle of the stamp.

After it came in I realized that the base of the pistol grip was a lot larger than the Pistol Grip retaining plate that I installed during the conversion. It left an unsightly gap so I sold it. 922r issue solved.

I completed this mod tonight with an old extra 5 rounder and $1.29 at ACE Hardware. Excellent Idea - works flawlessly. I think I will have this part hard chrome plated when I get the bolt carrier done. Again, great idea. Thanks for posting.

I bought my Kobra EKP-8-02 with the wafer battery from Tantal last week. Sometimes my emails to him don't go through either. I usually email both addresses listed on the site just to be sure he gets it. I have not had a chance to get it sighted in but I really like the both eyes open viewing. The only negative thing I can say is that using this setup you have more of a chin weld rather than a cheek weld, but it is not uncomfortable.

For the price I don't think you can go wrong with the P01.

Right but what does it entail? I would like to just change the stock, grip, fore and brake. Also 10 round mags would be nice. Not finished yet.... I did however get the Kobra Red Dot optic for it. I posted the rest of the Kobra pictures on another topic. According to my list All I have left is Parkerization MollyResin Hard Chrome Plating And an ACE Case Bag. I have to say this has been one of the most expensive conversion/builds I've ever done. But I would not have done it any differently. It is exactly as I imagined it.

The conversion is not hard as long as you are not cutting the barrel or removing the rear trunnion. I did mine and I'm no expert. Just read a lot & take your time. Make sure you have the right tools to do the job. - It's not hard.

I got my Kobra red dot in from Tantal. I installed it last night and so far I am really impressed. Next I'll have to get it sighted in. I can't wait to try it out. Enjoy the picts:

I found this on on Armalite's website The site says that it's bore is .875. and I think I could easily ream it 22.5mm.

I wish someone would come out with something like one of these that would clamp to the barrel. Just turn it upside down and presto!! A light rail. I have looked at both of these and there is not enough material to enlarge the hole to 22.5mm.

I know this is an old post but is there any chance on getting any more of these?

I am looking for a Kobra Red Dot optic for My Saiga 12C and would like a little advice before taking the plunge. The items I am looking for: 1. I would like Coin Batteries (I have heard that these last longer /work better for the S-12 over the AA version) 2. I would like the mount to be as low as possible 3. I would like the mount to be centered over the receiver/barrel 4. I would like the Optic to be adjustable (Forward and backward) on the mount. why does your gun not have the NSN in the first pictures? which picture is your gun the first set or this last set? The first time I posted I cloned the NSN and the serial number out in Photoshop. The second time I just cloned out the serial number. I just don't like posting any identifiable numbers on the web. After I figured out that everyone had the same NSN number I didn't worry about cloning it out on the second set of picts.

I got the CZ Coco Bolo grips installed. I really like the feel of these over the rubber grips. I'll have to see how they fair at the range.

After emailing Tantal I have been looking at a EKP-8-02 Kobra sight for my S-12. He said that the EKP-8-02 would be the correct optic for the S-12. Does anyone have any experience with this setup? I would like to hear some feedback before shelling out the cash. I know that there may be better US made red-dot optics but I would like to keep it as Russian as possible.

Depends on what setup you want. If you want a Poly folder go to rusmilitary.com for the correct trunnion and small parts (lock pin, spring, Pin, Front Catch, Spring, Pin and Keeper), Contact Tantal for the Poly folder. If you are looking for the triangle folder you can get one at Ohio Rapid Fire or K-var w/Trunnion. But you will still have to get the front catch set from rusmilitary.com. Personally I'd love one of the SVDS folding stocks but, $500 is a little steep.

I have had bot my AK Bolt Carriers Hard Chromed at Elite Custom Plating www.elitecustomguns.com They charge around $60 for the carrier. I plan to have the on on the S-12 done along with the BHO lever and the folding stock lock pin.
