  1. DO NOT get this one for use as a drum cover. It is not US issue, but a chinese copy, and is a little too small to get the drum into. I will use it as a shell carrier or something. Interesting!! I got mine at my local army navy surplus store. Mine are real US made models. Drums fits perfectly snug into it. What happens when you try to put the drum into the chinese one?
  2. Oh I knew you were being facetious, I just was upset at the poster who keeps giving gun lovin' right wingers a bad name to the mainstream populous. Leave all those strange theories about Obama being a muslim terrorist to the people at stormfront (LOL at that one), and lets show the average person that we aren't dumb tin foil hatters thinking everyone is out to get us. My name is not Dale Gribble. Man, I think that if the grand majority of die hard gun lovers were to proclaim their dissatisfaction of Obama on the ISSUES, and not fringe theories, the public would be loooking at us w
  3. I don't give a shit one way or another in regards to gay marriage (if they want to get married, fine, so be it, its not hurting me at all) but why all the negativity towards people that want to have pro-gay marriage. As far as the "teachable moment", that in itself is a crock of shit but whatever.
  4. Very nice, I like the folder.
  5. Do you really really believe that kind of crap? I mean seriously? I am fully against Obama for his stances on the issues and especially gun control but I do NOT hold any validity about all those stupid Al Qaeda sleeper operator mis-theories and him being a full blown muslim and other stupid theories. I'm sorry but you are hating the guy for all the wrong reasons. Hate Obama all you want but hate him because he will tax the snot out of the average American, that he will try to eliminate guns from our ownership, that he will try to pass socialized medicine, etc. Not because of t
  6. You might need this: http://www.mississippiautoarms.com/index.p...products_id=127 and this (if you want a folder): http://www.mississippiautoarms.com/index.p...products_id=125 and the stock: http://www.mississippiautoarms.com/index.p...products_id=165 The back plate welds to the receiver after removing the tang (clean install) but you could use this adapter if you want to just cut the tang off but not have to weld: http://www.mississippiautoarms.com/index.p...products_id=137 If I'm wrong about any of this, please let me know.
  7. Way to "out" me there bro. Notice he said 9, and I said 8? Yep, got mine. LOL.
  8. http://thehighroad.org/showthread.php?p=4992144#post4992144 Here you go!
  9. What are you looking for? A standard home defense weapon for low cost or a cool semi-auto magazine fed shotgun that costs twice as much? For just home defense, I would probably choose the Mossberg if I didn't need much more than that. But for overall coolness, I would probably choose the Saiga. The saiga is close to the ultimate range toy. What do you want and not want out of a shotgun?
  10. I voted center feed only because that is what I'm used to. Something I was thinking bout though, what about a magazine that is in the shape of a backwards J. FIgure the mag would couple to the gun at the lower part of the J's hook and then the mag would curl up in a U shape and then up the side of the gun. That would be a really crude drawing of what I mean. You are looking at the back of the gun and the mag curls down andto the left side of the receiver and then up.
  11. You know, ever since I got your drum (from Atlantic Firearms), I haven't had the urge to really shoot any of my other guns.
  12. Will do. I did polish up my FCG espeically the hammer and the bottom of the bolt. Brought it to my indoor range (no bumping there) yesterday and the drum ate up all my ammo quicker than lightening. No failure to feeds or anything. I can't try bumping til this weekend. I will explore the drum's spring tensions though.
  13. I bought a bunch of guns just for CAS. Got 3 357mag Blackhawks, 2 44mag Vaqueros (old ones), 3 45colt blackhawk/vaqueros, an original 1903 Winchester 97, a Rossi Overland SxS, a Winchester 87 lever action shotgun repro, and a Rossi 92 in 357mag. Bought all those with the intent of doing SASS but just haven't had time yet. I still need to get a 45colt lever and a 44mag lever to have complete sets. Then I will be happy.
  14. I know of one more Saiga 12 from a different dealer but he wants a much higher price, he wants 589 for his Saiga 12. If anyone cares, just im me and I will give you the info.
  15. I liked the second video much better!! I don't like screaming metal. I love rock and heavy metal but hate the screaming speed metal.
  16. I agree that you could save some good bux by casting and loading your own slug rounds but I purely want to know if its possible to save money by loading plinker birdshot loads. The more I investigate, the more it looks like the answer is no.
  17. Yup!! I have bought a few guns from them in the past. Bought 3 pistols and 3 Saiga 12s and a couple of cowboy rifles. My tastes in guns are eclectic. I like AK47s and cowboy guns.
  18. I love my Saiga 12. I reload for almost all the other calibers I have. I haven't reloaded for my 12 gauge only because I really don't know if its possible to save good amounts of money by relaoding for 12 gauge. I'm not talking hunting or other more exotic ammo but rather just plain old light birdshot. Can you save quite a bit over the 21 dollar 100 value packs of Federal at wally world?
  19. Isn't an AOW just another 200 dollar tax stamp but after you initally register it, it then is a 5 dollar transfer fee? AOW=cane guns, wallet guns, etc, right?
  20. I thought you were Will from Redstick Firearms?

    My new S12

I don't know where I read it, but I read that Winchester Universals are crap and you should avoid shooting them in the Saiga. I also had issues using cheap Remington Gun Club ammo as well. Both of them had failure to feeds and other odd issues. The Federal cheap stuff at wally world works fine. Your gun looks good!! Looks just like mine except for a different butt stock. Mine will be a work in progress.
  22. You might have a point. I bumped my saiga only before I did the conversion. I haven't bumped it until yesterday with the modified G2 trigger group. I didn't polish up anything so I might give that a shot too. I can bump any of my other guns so its annoying that I can't with the drum. It just fails to eject the round.
