  1. I have heard of people who have had Promags work for them but I have had terrible luck with one of their Hipoint 995 carbine mags. Terrible. Can be made to work but I don't feel like it. Factory mags and the gun shoots perfectly. I do have one other promag, a clear 30 round 7.62x39 mag that does cycle well but sometimes spreads open by the feed lips so you can't insert it into the AK. I am intrigued though. Their list price is 45 and I wonder if you could get them for 35? If so, I might bite and try one. I do wonder if they would consider making a polymer drum for the 12 simil
  2. I always wondered why people just didn't block their 5 rounders?
  3. Damn damn damn. I missed the drums again. Any chance that there is ONE left anywhere??? I really want one and can fire up the card asap. Please please please.....
  4. I go there when I want to feel good about the laws in my state. I feel for you guys. I go there and read and just shake my head.
  5. I'm seriously thinking of a Saiga 308 now. However my dealer only can get the wood stocked 21 inch model, they have none of the 21 inch polymer models. Which one would you do? This would be for a PSL conversion lookalike. I would like to have it alongside my PSL. I wonder how the Saiga wood foregrip would look with the dragunov style wood buttstock found on the PSL? Are there any compelling reason to choose one over the other? I do not want a short barrel model.
  6. Oh wow. Interesting. So whats the point?
  7. Just wondering because I don't know the laws, but a virgin receiver is used on AKs quite often to build pistol builds since "once a rifle, always a rifle" and to have a legal non-tax stamped AK pistol, you need to build on a virgin receiver. Now with shotguns, is any of that relevant? Can you build a legal shotgun pistol on a virgin receiver? Or are the laws completely different for non-rifled barrels? I'm just trying to figure out a reason for a virgin receiver other than for cut up police evidence guns that are released to the public for sale after having the receivers destroyed.
  8. Yup!! I felt that it was a good deal indeed. Felt like i went back in time to the good ole days of 2007. Boy, I miss those good ole days. 7.62x54r for 30 dollars for 300 rounds in tins. 7.62x39 for 150 a case. Saiga 12s for 429. Yup, good ole days. LOL
  9. I went to one of my local dealers. I sensed something in the racks. Sure enough, there was a Saiga 12. Then I looked at the price tag. 469 dollars. I bought it (new in box) only to find out that they had another one. I bought that one too. I'm a happy boy. Put them on layaway. I went there looking for a FAL but found Saigas. If only they had a nice Saiga 308, I would have been super happy.
  10. Have you guys seen the update at their webpage? http://www.classicarms.us/ Apparently they got 3 S12s, not 18 and they fubared the orders. So 3 lucky people got them and the rest are 308s, not S12s. That's gonna suck for a bunch of people who bought them.
  11. If you can find a Yugo stamped rear trunnion for cheap, buy it, those things are like hens teeth and are rare as heck. They are like gold if you have one.
  12. What is "AFL's"? I really don't know. SE WA, you really aren't ALL that far away. If you want the location, I can give it to you.
  13. I like it. Reminds me of my Sig's trigger guard which I always liked.
  14. There is one at my local pawn shop for 379. I'm kinda tempted to put it on layaway even though I don't need it (have one already).
  15. I bought mine from Atlantic Firearms about a month or so ago and felt that I got a decent deal (the 439 plus no shipping for Saiga 12.com members).
  16. Wow. What a deal. 225 dollars. I would have bought 3 if they had them for that price.
  17. Don't listen to Silicon Wolverine. Its not true (yet). Just buy it and have fun.
  18. Where did you find that case? that is exactly what my kid wants for one or two of his guns. Basically what we want is a case that has 2 sheets of solid foam in them that we could cut to fit and make a nice fitted case for our guns. I want one for my black powder setup (too many loose things to carry in a bag, would be nice to have a fitted case for) and I want one for my Romak 3 with all the accessories. Not just any foam case but the kind like pictured above where you can cut out the gun and accessories so that everything has a home.
  19. Great gun. This makes me wonder. Currently, it appears that most Saiga 12s are sold to people like me who just want a very unique fun gun that has lots of options. Now with custom competition guns like this one being made that apparently can outshoot and out run a Benilli or a 1100, will this mean that the competitors will start flocking to it? I just wonder if they will start to want these even though its hard to get them as it is.
  20. How does that recoil stock work? Is there springs in side of it or something? I wonder how it would look with the pistol grip setup?

    Ammo

Then I'm going to be going to walmart then!! Need some ammo for my new gun.
  22. Look at Atlantic Firearms on gunbroker. Last I looked, they still had a couple on gunbroker for sale. If you find one on Gunbroker, buy it and don't hesitate. The IZ109 that I got from them yesterday is perfect and doesn't have the too short of a barrel.
  23. Well went to the range with a box of 3 inch magnums (thats what I read you should break in your gun with). It cycled perfectly 5 rounds at a time (I only have a 5 round mag). I was quite happy with it. I also tried light target loads (2 3/4 inch?) and it cycled them well if I actually held the gun firmly. If I held the gun by the hip and didn't hold it well, it would jam on extraction. Funny thing is that it was late when we got to the range (turning quite dark and we were shooting into night) and I totally forgot about the gas valve. I think it was on 2 the whole time (the 2
