I have the thigh rig and the belt holders from the vestguy and they work ok. But for matches the velcro rig is the way to go.

I just use velcro on the side of the mags, and use one of the velcro back braces to stick the mags to.

Just curious what would be the advantage over 223?

Tromix has a mount for the doctor sight that goes in the rear sight dovetail.

Sounds like feed lips on your ten round mag to tight. Search around the forum there are tips on tuning the mag.

Weaver 1X3 is a pretty cost effective alternative until you have had a chance to decide what you really want. It is a lot of bang for the buck ($150). It takes a lot more money to get an optic appreciably better.
