  1. I can't say that there won't be condensation with CO2. In fact I'm sure there is - under the right conditions. But as people here have said I would hope that you'd try to find a spot, even in the wilderness, that was partially protected form the eliments. Beyond that...
  2. You can always use CO2. Pack a small amount of dry ice in the container that you're going to store. and leave a very slight opening for the air to escape, as the dry ice evaporates it will displace the oxygen (because it's heavier than air) and then seal the container once it's evaporated completely. Combine that with a gel pack and you're good to go. If you're burying the container it probably wouldn't hurt to seal it with roofing tar and a couple of heavy plastic bags. It should last a decade or so. No guaranties beyond that.
  3. ------------------------ I'm like a lot of you - I only go to Dick's when they have ammo sales. I especially like the Ultra remanufactured ammo. .38 and .45 (I have a Thompsom SMG). I use a lot of that - and the brass is reloadable if you're into that.
  4. ------------------------- But do they work in the 10 rounders?
  5. -------------- Thanks for the education. I've obviously never had to used a blunderbust up close and personal - thank God. Only on clay birds. But everything you said makes sense. Thanks again. The Spookster
  6. Maverick, you are so right about firequest. That is a hellova site. Just so many cool and very different types of shot shells. Thanks.
  7. At the risk of sounding like a troll - and not knowing how, specifically, you use your shotguns, you guys *are* talking about this site for slugs - right? I read so many posts about this sight or that laser being better/worst, etc. I guess I'm just of the opinion that unless you're seriously into something that requires a high degree of accuacy (like slugs for deer hunting) that sights on a shotgun are pretty much used as a general alignment tool. I mean for bird shot, buck shot and home defense (especially home defense) it's pretty much point and shoot - right? Don't get me wrong, having s
  8. Newbie here, What does the buffer pad do?
  9. I don't know if you have a Dunham's sporting goods store in your area, but I went to buy some 7.62x39 ammo last night expecting to pay close to 5 bucks a box and was pleasantly surprised to see that they had a sale going for $3.99 per. Needless to say, I loaded up. Youzah!
  10. I've done a search of the forum, and I've checked the for sale areas - both private and business - to no avail. Does anyone out there know of any distrbutor that currently has Saiga-12s in stock that I can buy? Everyone I've checked with says they're out of them. I'd really love to get my hands on one. I live in Michigan, so the closer the better (to save on shipping) but not absolutley necessary. Thanks for any help you can provide.
