  1. OK danger ahead. If you think this is the gun. Turn it upside down and shoot. It should hit where your aiming. Problem solved.

Remove the barrel and reinstall it 180 degrees off. A gun smith could probably do this for you if your unsure.

    ^^ lol couldn't resist

Serious at this part ==>> Are you using a poly choke? Or muzzle break?

  2. I don't believe thats true. From what I was told if it has a pistol grip then you need to have 922r compliance. I probably should have said what mods have been done, not sure if people count that as converted. I added an ace folding stock but didn't move forward the FCG. Yesterday I replaced the hammer, which counts as another 922r part. I have a USA poly choke (muzzle attachement), the ace stock, usa pistol grip (which doesn't really count)

So if I add a gas puck I should be ok to use my factory mag legally. Also I couldn't get out the disconnector for some reason or I'd use that... Seems stuck with that hollow pin, hard to explain. Thanks for all the replies.

Foreign Parts 11 Domestic Parts 4

If you havnt converted then you can use your factory mag. Its only after conversion that compliance parts count.

I didn't know I had to grind down the hammer at first and when I got it back in place without grinding it the hammer was like.... Ya I'm going to just sit here and not move how about that? U mad bro?biggrin.png

  3. Thanks got the hammer in was easier getting it out than putting it back in. Oh man the BHO spring was the biggest pain. Oh and go figure the hammer needed to be ground down.

2 hours for just 1 more USA part not sure if it was worth it.

1 more USA part and I can use none USA mags, funny thing is I only have the 1 none USA (factory) mag.

Thinking of going with the gas puck if not that a new hand guard.

    Thanks again Schultze

  4. NOT A US PART!!!!! (for 922r parts count)

They are the easiest part to instal and require no tools, but tools do aid in the instal.

How is it not a 922r part? The US manufacture says it is, Not sure how long the BATFE would let them say it is if it isn't.

It cycles fine I was just curious about how easy it was to install since it appears to be an extra 922r part...

  5. How are these being installed. huh.png ???

Since they are only about $8 I was wondering do you just drop them infront of the gas piston and thats it?

I'm surprise that counts as a part if your not removing any russian part. If that is all there is to it...

    Maybe I'm wrong?

I didn't see this in any pervious post that I searched...

  6. Mike Davidson (MD Arms) is a pretty cool guy. He will ussually respond to emails if you have questions.

Guess I waited too long, the MD mags are back up to $120 this morning. I'll wait until they are on sale

again, I thought this sale went until the end of January. I'm gonna order a ProMag 12 rounder or two in

    the mean time.

    AKATTACK

Did you call them? Might give it to ya for $80

Yep, I emailed them. Because i was already in contact with Mike he said he'll do it for $80.

Then a half hour later Arms of America emails me saying they are refunding my purchase from Sat because they are out of stock. DAMMIT!

MD Arms is a GREAT company though.

  7. I think its called "Raging Judge Magnum" or whatever their revolver was that shot 28 gauge shells not the .410 shotshell. BATFE changes their mind all the time... I would agree it's more of a AOW, but maybe SBS are more regulated so they want it under that?

    Here is another post. http://www.gunsamerica.com/blog/the-taurus-raging-judge-28-gauge-revolver/

Also I think part of the problem is that 28 gauge shotshell doesn't have any counter part handgun round. For example the .410 shotshell is similar to the .45 long colt so much so that most guns that camber both... If that makes sense.

Now if I can just make a .550 (28 guage) caliber handgun round that catches on... Not sure why Taurus doesn't make one since most major firearms companies have their own round.

Why would the "raging bull" be a SBS? It has no buttstock. It looks like it would fit under the AOW like a Serbu Shotty

  8. That's exactly what I thought. But I thought it was called the Taurus raging bull. The "handgun" is so large that I'm sure the BATFE declared it a SBS since if they didn't want more companies jumping in that could make similar "handguns". And to scare the BATFE more someone would move it up to 12 gauge. I bet they are going to make a maxium size for handguns containing shotgun shells so that a 12 gauge handgun won't ever be possible.

Oddly though I bet the firearms lawyers at Taurus said it complied with the law. I wonder if they even asked the BATFE before production and they gave them the go ahead then later reversed saying SBS.

    Quoted from thefirearmblog.com

Big gun, Short lived. Taurus 28 Gauge Revolver.

On Friday night Michael Bane told me that BATFE visited the Taurus booth at SHOT Show and declared that the 28 gauge revolver was in fact a SBS (Short Barreled Shotgun), not a handgun.

Guns America removed a blog post about the pistol (H/T: TruthAboutGuns) and replaced it with the following text...

Editor Note: Taurus has removed this firearm from their booth and has elected to not make it at this time. The rifle version will be available through Rossi at some point.

Taurus USA imports their pistols from the Taurus factory in Brazil. If they were imported the sample 28 gauge SBS and specified in the US Customs / BATFE paperwork that is was a pistol, they could be in trouble.

I contacted the Taurus PR but I have not yet received a reply.

    Looks like that was it.

  9. Well it looks like we need to make a sport only for hi-cap shotguns. Then clearly it would be for sporting purposes.

Also seems like this might just be aimed at the Taurus on the 28-gauge Raging Judge revolver...

  10. As for how well it would work? Well a choke is a choke - the amount of slots might make a very small difference in the amount of felt recoil, but I doubt that much.

I don't believe that statement is true. I've seen a machined fish gil break that was machined wrong accidently and the slots on the left were a bit smaller then the slots on the right. Every time the gun was fired it pulled to one side depending on how the break was on the gun.

    Just my 2 cents

  11. (already know about the recall)

I was looking into buying the Tapco G2 trigger group but noticed that some places that are selling then say:

"Notes: If you are purchase for use in a Saiga, you will need to slightly modify it to make it fit correctly. If you are looking for one that is ready to be dropped in, purchase the Tromix Fire Control Group. "

So what do you have to mod for the tapco g2 trigger group?

From the instructions it doesn't look like any editing to me:

    http://www.tapco.com/html/instructions/G2%20Instructions.pdf

  12. Wow glad I checked this post I was about to order one.

Also have a simple question how easy is the install for these trigger groups?

You don't have to dremal anything correct?

I saw prices for $30 so figured I could use 3 more complaince parts.
