  1. ...ill have to post pics of it when i get a chance.

Why bother? They all look the same, (yet another reason to go with better parts). *yawn*

Glad you said that! I dig the design, but it was a little too much like the pistols used in the 80's sitcom "v", so I redesigned mine and with the help of my good friend Tom bostic, this is my personal one off of the Kushnapup

That is a hell of an improvement, I have to admit. Nicely done. 032.gif

    Thank you!!

  3. Installed. Drum is WAY awkward as far as holding the gun, but Im sure thats already been brought up. Even regular mags are difficult to get in. Maybe itll just take awhile to get used to. It inevitably hits back portion of grip. Thus why the grip has the notch taken out of lower corner. Still havent shot it yet. I did notice that the spring on the inner linkage could bind on the inside mold easily. I fixed that with a couple stainless washers to avoid that. Aside from those, it does look mean and feel pretty solid. Im sure I'll get to the range in a couple dayspost-7678-0-08274000-1336770263_thumb.jpgpost-7678-0-95063400-1336770279_thumb.jpg

  4. I also got mine today, and as you can see from my join date it's pre-Bjorn. Hopefully over the weekend I can do a build pictorial, and give some initial impressions, but that's all conditional upon the damn railroad giving me some time. Lol

Red rum, where's your shop at? I need some more work done, want to get my sleeves finished.

Looks like someone beat me to it.

Im in Media, PA Shop is called Olde media Tattoo. My site is www.redrumtattoo.com

  5. Got mine today I was order #665. I have pic but I can fucking upload it on here. I have NO correlation with Mr. Bjorn at all. Other than a couple nasty email exchanges. He did deliver. Im hacking mine up anyway to create a much cooler design. Not that I dont really like the guns used in the original "V" miniseries, But I just like to be as original as possible.

edit: Think I figured it outpost-7678-0-77750100-1336753422_thumb.jpgpost-7678-0-58086500-1336753435_thumb.jpg

  6. Ive been waiting on the Kushnapup since I paid in Feb. In fact i bought anouther saiga 12 just for it. The date keeps getting pushed back. was early July, then Mid July, then early Aug, then mid Aug. Thats been the word. I emailed him this week and this was his reply:

"It's getting close. I should be able to provide exact ETA at the end of this month. The molds have been completed, and the first retail samples are being tested. Once we see how fast we can get the molds to fill each stock we will be able to calculate output into the shipping time.

    -Bjorn"

So again......who knows. The cbprs looks cool all black. Had I known about that when I paid for the Kushnapup, I probably woulda went with that and no wait...

    just sayin

  7. I was browsing for info on the Akdal MKA 1919 shotgun when I tripped over this rascal, also from Turkey:

    2010back.jpg

It apparently holds more rounds in the magazine, and looks much better (to me) than the MKA1919. It also chamebrs 3" shells. It already has a collapsing stock (although it would probably need a fixed one to be imported here). It has the gas system well back on the barrel, allowing for creative modifications to barrel length... Here is the business web site: http://www.tomahawk.com.tr/t2010.htm.

It appears the Turkish shotgun makers are getting creative, perhaps because their citizens aren't allowed to own similarly styled rifles? I am intrigued.

I know nothing of this, but I want one of these for sure!!!

  8. not sure what your ultimate goal is but I'd like to suggest checking out Solarforce products (on Ebay - or at Lighthound) -

they're a Chinese company - sorry for that, but they make great lights that are compatible with Surefire products. You can buy complete torches or just a host and use another bulb and driver, what I like is they have a battery tube (extension) link with a QD rail mount built in and what appear to be quality pressure switches link.

for about a hundred bucks you can put together a tough light that mounts to your rail direct without a clamp and has a sweet remote pressure.

Just remember that an incandescent bulb can (will) fail from inertia - LEDs typically handle the recoil better

good luck with whatever you end up doing

    regards

    mark

ETA: is that your Jeep? Nice - I got a '77 CJ7 in the garage that I keep threatening to rebuild, had it 19 years so far

Yes it is my jeep. Notice the izhmash logo on the side

  9. I have a mount for a tac light I wanna use, however it's for a 3/4 outside diameter. I've been searching EVERYWHERE online for tac lights with remote pressure switches and its next to impossible to find one with that diameter. The only thing I've found was the surefire executive series but they want $300 for a light!!!! That's nearly half the cost of the Saiga!!! Any suggestions??

  10. All I am reading on this topic is what they are planning to do. I havent seen anything on those of us that are already owners. I know what they did with the striker 12, but they were labeled as DD. From what I have seen, that is not what they are doing with the s12. I am not trying to beat a dead horse here, however I would like to know where the owners before the "study" stand (that means all of US here on this forum). If this has been discussed in a prior topic, can someone please re-direct me to the link where it is?

  11. Please don't bash me for this one. I'm sure it's been discussed. I have a magwell that I wanna install. I know I can't use a drum, but all my other saigas will accept my drums. I just wanted it on one of my saigas. So, considering I have no instructions, it looks fairly simple. Remove pin in back, and replace with new pin. Drill small hole in receiver in front for bolt in front of magwell. Sound about right? Now do the mags now need to be modified? And if so, how well do they stay in place? And if so where are the modified?

  12. I just got a converted one on gunbroker buy it now for 1099.00. Cponsidering what im seeing with prices recently, I think I got off ok. Where is your local gun shop where unconverted ones are going for that??

  13. I agree I don't think it's at all for function. Just aesthetics. No different than the shrouds. And as far as a break goes itself, I'm not worried about that, i have several sbs 12 pistols that I've been shooting for years single-handed. Hell, 90% of the time it'll be not firing on my wall or something. So might as well have it look badass while it is there. I'm not breaching doors either, but breaches can add a nice edge to it. If I'm going for specifically function, and not at all aesthetics, what's the point in converting it in the first place?? Yes different strokes.
