  1. Can I get a big F-yeah to WaffenSchmied! Thanks a million for the generous offer.
  2. Well any updates on the firing pin availability?? Mine took a dump on my today right after using some #6 shot to cut a door in half. Sorry for the shitty cellphone pic, but it gets the point across. FYI my gun was made in '07... I dont know how to tell what month.
  3. He meant roll crimped rounds the measure 2.75 inches unfired. They will not work. Standard shells available labeled 2-3/4 will in most cases fit fine. As was discussed in another thread, 2.40" unfired is the maximum length for the the production drum. Here is a list of shell lengths of what I have on hand. It is a 10 rnd average length. Federal Field & Target Multi Purpose Load 8 shot 1-1/8oz 2-3/4" Average - 2.3125" GO Winchester Super X Lead Shot High Brass Game Load 4 shot 1-1/4 oz. 2-3/4" - 2.2970" GO Winchester Super Speed Xtra Gam
  4. I got my order on friday and quikly tried loading them up into one of my MD 20s. First the slugs, I ended up with two empty boxes and one full drum... awesome they fit! Next up the OO buck I managed to squeeze about 6 rnds in then they started to bind up so they seem to be a no go... damnit! I took my calipers and checked a bunch of them for length and they seem to ring in right at 4.450 +-.005. The slugs measure around 2.385. Oh well I guess I still have a use for the half dozen 10 rnd AGP mags I have after all. I havent gotten the chance to shoot these (or the drum for that matter) bu
  5. Thanks for the heads up. I ordered 200 rnds of buckshot and and 100 slugs. I have two drums to feed!
  6. Nicely done Mike. A little more light would help in the 3rd clip, but I think the first two got the point across nicely! As a side note, that 30 round drum those hacks put together is an abortion!! Anyone ever heard of a point of diminishing marginal utility? Keep the good stuff coming, Thanks again!
  7. Iam so jealous! Its ok though, the light at the end of the tunnel is getting so close I can feel it. Another big thanks to Mike for seeing this through its gonna be awesome! Have fun with your drum/s you lucky SOB & be sure to torture us some more with pics and maybe even a video. -Brian
  8. Iam pretty sure they are on the market, but I have no desire for one. IIRC they are asking like $3500 for it and to make matters worse, the "folding stock" doesnt open, its pinned or welded in the folded position either to avoid SBR or for import purposes Iam not sure which (dont know barrel length). I paid $1300 for my Kahr M1SB (Semi Auto Thompson SBR) and that is chunk of milled steel with a nice walnut stock and handguard not a stamped steel pos with bakelite grips. To each their own I guess. Sorry, Back on task.... Iam pretty sure he is talking about an S&W M&P .40. W
  9. The attention to detail youre putting into this drum is outstanding. As is your commitment to good communication throughout the process even when a select few can be such a PITA. I am sure you know it by now, but everyone here is extremely appreciative of your efforts. As a side note, I am really hoping your most recent shipping ESTIMATE is close as that will put us into the middle of April. Just so you know, my birthday is April 28 ;) and I cant think of a better present than to open up a brown box of beautiful (oh I forgot to mention FUNCTIONAL) MD Arms Drums. Thanks again for
  10. Oh youve done it now Mike. Thanks to the huge influx of people wanting to watch the video of a 20 rnd bumpfire, youtube has crashed. The worst part is , I havent gotten to watch it yet. Hopefully it will come back up soon. Thanks for all the hard work, I know how close it is getting which make waiting even less bearable. I cant frickin wait!
  11. Iam in NW Indiana and not very "seedy" looking so I am off the hook. I dont really think our gun laws are too horrible asside from the no SBS garbage. I am five minutes from Illinois and about 25 minutes from Chicago... ya wanna talk about some horseshit gun laws!!
  12. All the 3" slugs that I have fired are roll crimped and they have fed flawlessly. The only other roll crimped shells I have access too are some old ass 2-3/4" 16 ga. birdshot that my dad inherited from an old family friend. All the 3" buckshot I have are 6 point crimps.
  13. I think he is asking about the usability of the vertical foregrip with the added width of the drum. I cant really comment first hand as I havent converted my Saiga yet, but observing my stance holding an underfolding ak, it doesnt seem like it would be an issue regardless of barrel length. That said, I like to look of the 10" best but I cant have an SBS so all I can do is dream. Also, all the work I have seen by E-TAC has looked very good, but I was under the impression that he doenst do SBS... or is he going to do all the work except chop the bbl? Have fun with the SBS you lucky SOB
  14. I have tried a few of the "Exotic Ammo" varients, dragons breath is my favorite (but I dont see it listed on that link). Most of them are just an expensive novelty but fun in their own right. The flechettes I tried really didnt stabilize reliably as most of them keyholed. Not to say that tumbleing little darts wouldnt be effective at causing damage, they just wouldnt penetrate much. I was at a gunshow a while back where nothing really caught my eye and I had some cash burning a hole in my pocket so I scooped up a handfull of them. If you are in a simmilar situation, go for it, they are en
