I removed the rear sights on my S12's with a hammer and a punch, while sitting barefoot in the living room floor. LOL They were hard to break free, but once they started moving, they came out ok. I kept them, in case I ever decided to re-mount.

I'm still trying to decide between Titan and extended quad. I was ready to order the extended quad, until I started thinking about red dot placement with irons. The Titan would allow the red dot to be mounted back significantly further. The red dot will have to be mounted quite far forward on the extended quad, in order to mount in front of the irons. Then again, ext quad w/ sights: $175. Titan w/ sights: $320-ish. Decisions decisions.

I'm looking to order a couple of rails for my S12s. I'm trying to decide between the extended quad, and the Titan. I'm actually somewhat partial to the extended quad, but I thought I'd ask if I'm missing something about the Titan. It seems the main benefit of the Titan would be the longer sight radius. What other benefits does the Titan have over the extended quad? I'm not a real big fan of the rear latch mount, and it seems like the hinged top cover is something begging to get loose / rattle over time. I don't consider the sight radius to be a major issue, so it just seems like needle

PM's replied. As mentioned above, I have two. I'm going to sell them both, and replace them with the HK sighted versions when Chaos has them back in stock.

Three weeks ago...let's see...I think I was just unpackaging these, and mounting them to the guns! lol Yup, that's just about right...according to the UPS tracking info in my e-mail, the rails (I ordered / have 2) were delivered on June 20.

I've got a Chaos Extended Quad Rail I'd like to sell. This thing is in brand new condition. I received it a few weeks ago, mounted it, and the gun has been sitting in the safe since. No shots fired. The gun hasn't even been outside the house since mounting. This is the bare quad rail, without the HK sights. I think I've decided I want to use the HK sights with a micro red dot. Rather than just order the sights stand-alone (which are backordered), I've decided I'd rather sell this rail, and order one one of the discount rail / sight packages from Chaos, since I'm waiting on the sights

My S12's have the Chaos Extended quad rail on them (not the Titan). I'm getting ready to order a Primary Arms micro red dot for the gun. However, prior to placing the order, I'd like to address the iron sights aspect of the gun. Right now, it has none. I'm not a big fan of the HK sights, but I think I might be kind of limited with that Chaos rail on there. Do any of you have a rail with HK sights, and a micro red dot? The PA micro dot is a dimensional equivalent of the T1 Aimpoint micro. So, if you have HK sights and a T1 style micro, and they co witness, I should be good to go.

I put a Chaos extended quad rail on each of my S12's. Bolt on / Bolt off, no gunsmithing type work required. I'm pretty happy with them.

Good timing. I'm looking for info on this exact subject as well. If there's a muzzle-end device that actually serves a purpose / function for the S12, then I'm interested. I'm not looking for something that's simply aesthetic, however. The muzzle nut may be plain looking, but if it's just as functional as the "eye candy" offerings, I'll stick with it. Cobra's choke adapter looks interesting...

So, while reassembling the bolt for my S12, I managed to launch the extractor spring somewhere into the depths of the kitchen / living room area. I have NO idea where this spring is at... Next time, remember the bag trick! Am I hosed? Will a "regular" AK extractor spring from somewhere like K-Var work?
