  1. I had the same problem with my factory five round magazine and the same question with that stupid button. I'm tempted to try and drill out that little pin that holds the button and remove it, that button gets in my way of putting the dust cover back on. Can't see it hurting anything if its removed, the cover never touchs it when its on, and I doubt it will do much to stop the cover from flying off if the gun happens to explode in your hands.
  2. Sell the Tapco aborted stock grip thing, get a grip and stock, find a FCG (Hell, use the cheap russian AK one, about what I'm planning to do.) and Bob is your uncle. Most expensive thing is the stock, the hardest thing seems to be dremeling the trigger guard off, or you can pick up one of the lovely bolt on thingy mcbobbers. (I personally would go with Cobra's) Since you are replacing all the 922 crap anyways and keeping the russian FCG, why not? You spend around 20-30 bucks more, depending on what you buy, and you get a much better looking and better working weapon. IMHO, I can't

    Newbie Questions

Doves are migratory. Hunting for migratory fowl is limited to 2+1 shells per the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918, which applies in all 50 states. Dove are one of the few upland birds that fall under this restriction, which is familiar to duck and goose hunters. I know it seems odd if you're used to hunting pheasant or quail with no limit on shotgun capacity. But there's a solution, Camon. Just get a 2-round magazine like this Surefire mag from MAA: http://www.mississippiautoarms.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=223_224&products_id=437 yea, I misread it. I

Looked at 2 round mags, but since this seems to only want to load on an open bolt, I would rather use 3 rounders, nor can my brain wrap around 30 bucks for a 2 round magazine. I'm used to AK (2 mags for 20 bucks) or HK 91 (1 mag for the princely sum of 1 dollar) magazine prices. Yeah, after an hour or so of roaming around the house, looking for things to use to twist the silly thing, I finally remembered the little cleaning kit, opened it, found the flat peice, used it, removed the plug, was a pain to remove, I think the gas plug got threaded all the way down its length some how, not deep

1: Crud. I was hoping not to, but if anything, I guess I'll go the Tromix from MMA. 2: Oh goodie. 3: Sweet, thanks. 4: Gotta hold the button down the whole time or only when it pops back up? 5: Huh. Seems to stay on with the normal AK-47, never had it fly off, and the little button doesn't touch anything when the dust cover is on. I mean the little push button on the top of the widget that slides in on the top of the rear trunnion. 6: We live in the same state dude. =P Game and Fish only lets shotguns have 2+1 for bird hunting... I think. This is the longest barreled non si

    Newbie Questions

Just picked up a Saiga 12 today, box says its a GR-100, made in 08, and I have a handful of questions on it... 1: Can I keep the stock FCG and just remove the little Y shaped thing when I convert it to pistol grip, or am I going to be stuck buying a new FCG? 2: The firing pin doesn't seem to come all the way out of its little hole when the back of it is depressed to flush with the rear of the bolt, am I going to need a new firing pin? 3: Is the safety lever suppose to be hard to push down? The nub just hangs up and its a pain in the ass, can I sand it a little to smooth it out?

    UTG quad rail?

Huh. I dunno about UTG or Chaos or what not, I'm not personally a fan of a weapon thats more rails then anything, but I gotta hop in to this... Lifegard, first, what the hell my good man. The concept of a preorder is not new in any way shape or form. You may love the UTG rail, it works for you, super awesome, someone else likes Chaos and prefers to buy US or what not, nationalism at its finest, so whats really the problem? Your rail is just as good as the next guys. (Personally I don't see the damn point in quad rails, the hell are you really sticking onto the damn thing that you need that

    New Saiga 12 Owner

    ... Three dicks huh?
  9. Mmmm... Grenade launcher on a semi-auto shotgun... "What officer? Its for those really damn big elk! I swear!" Wipe out a whole flock of ducks at once with a beehive round... Personally, I would just leave it the way you bought it and use the factory mag, then you can't really be held relabile for anything since its the way it came from the factory... They can't say your breaking the law if your not skirting it... Just my 2 cents though.
  10. Couldn't you rig something up made of metal that would hold better?
  11. Yes yes, the wonderful big heavy looking reduckulious select fire 12 gauge that you have to load like a Thompson SMG.. 32 round drum, 10 round stick. For testing, using titanium #2 shot.. Raped those bits of paper good! Says never needs cleaning. And zero recoil.. I would like to have a little, so would know that the stupid thing fired. Also.. Guy on Future Weapons is a freaking moron. Everything he finds is years and years old. Future is enegry based and EMLs, not big clunkly 12 gauges.
  12. 52-53 bucks total for that lil bit of metal.. Taking S&H into account.. Really, looks like you could build it for 10 bucks if you had the parts.. A short 1913 rail welded to two clamp like things.. Get a couple round bits of metal with a lil smaller inner diameter of your barrel, weld little legs on them, drill though the legs and either tap them, or just drill completely though them and slap in a bolt with a nut. May not be the prettiest thing, but I'm sure someone with a better grasp of metalworking could do better, besides that, its yours, and at 1/4 the price of that one, nothi
  13. So all it is, is just a little slug of metal? Anyone know the dimensions of it? And to be 922 compliant, it would have to be stamped "Made in USA" right? Suppose if thats it, could just get someone to make one out of a peice of scrap steel at work or something.
