I've seem item that weren't 3d printed fail too. Lots of times. The WidowMaker drum comes to mind. I use 3d prototyping at work and it works fine, if the design is sound for the material used. That said, give it a go... if you manage to design and print a working mag, good on you, especiallyt if it can use a readily available spring, like from,....say.... another box mag fed gun with lots of spare parts available....

At work we're having trouble getting parts from suppliers (Defense). I'd think Shannon's in the same boat as the rest of us, maybe more so, as he's just a little guy, not a huge .gov contractor. He's a stand-up guy. He'll do you right.

You'll have to strip to bare metal and degrease before bluing. Bluing is a form of oxidation. You need to get the bluing chemicals in direct contact with the metal.

Take the top cover off and have a look. I've seen people do some wierd things to these guns. If there's a buffer, take it out.

I've got an LR-308 and a couple of their 5.56 uppers, one a pistol. All work extemely well. Very accurate and reliable. I'm quite happy with them.

Did you do this with a full mag? Try downloading the mag. Start with ONE shell in the mag and see if it loads right, then work your way up from there. You could just have issues with a stiff mag spring.
