  1. Got mine in yesterday and loaded up GoldenBear #5 shotshells (see "Different Shell Sizes" topic for photo). 45 rounds with not a single hitch. The magazine also fits very nicely so didn't have to do any carving on it. Nice mag!
  2. I paid $100 for 2 of the Surefire 10 rounders and will wait to see what happens. If the mags are defective I will expect some kind of compensation. I am very appreciative of Surefire's dilligence and time devoted to developing these mags but they should work correctly and not be rushed to market without thorough testing so I will withold any judgement until the final outcome.
  3. Great question Kanur, I always wondered about that. On the same topic, I was checking my upward slide to safety and noticed the indicator on the end actually goes further up than the "S" marking and slips into a notch. The trigger is locked regardless of whether it is alligned to the S or further up in the notch so is either position acceptable or is one preferred?
  4. The only drawback for kids using the 10 round surefire is the additional weight. My 12 year old grandson has problems keeping the gun steady with the 10 rounder. I still keep my 4 rounders loaded for SD purposes not so much for the weight but for dependability.
  5. Figured it was just a rumor. Thanks for the confirmation.
  6. Got my tracking order today. Thanks Nathan! Will post pics and test results...
  7. Thanks for the great info Twinson. Bummer about the steel slugs/buckshot (probably a no go on the 2.5" shells as well).
  8. Man I'm getting worried, ordered 2 units when MAA first listed them (back in March) but haven't received my tracking order or a response from Nathan. Glad you guys are having better luck.
  9. Thanks for the update, glad the buckshot works. Just wondering if you were using the #1 or #2 setting? (Most of my bear slug/buckshot shells do not cycle with #1.) Rumor also has it these mags support the shorter shells so let us know if you have a chance to to try them.
  10. It's my number one choice for most varmints (snakes/squirrels). Still need a .22 for those pesky armadillos though.
  11. Oh well, another delay... SUREFIRE 10 ROUND 410 MAGAZINES - There has been another delay, but we should have in our warehouse and ready to ship approx July 15.
  12. I agree. Looks like the follower is stopping just a tad bit shy. The angle of the follower is also angled deeper than a 3" mag so it must be a combination of the angle and follower position that causes the wiggle area of the first shell. Oh well, as long as it works...
  13. Yep, same here. I thought it was unusual but I've put 80+ rounds through it with no problems cycling the last round.
  14. Nice build and pics! Nothing wrong with cheap, especially nowadays...
