  1. I was trying to let SAIGA 308 owners who visit your site know that there is finally a true 3part-922r compliant american made mag on the market that comes in all capacities. There are no others being made! I considered this a favor to your forum followers. If you consider this plugging so be it, you will not hear from me again. I will bring your suggestion to the owner. However I will be considerate enough not to include the threat!
  2. SureFire Gun Mags LLC has started shipping it's New Polymer SAIGA 308 25 Rd. Mags to it's distributers. They are 3-part 922r compliant mags with stainless steel springs made right here in the good old USA. Should be at dealers the week of January 6th 2008. These are the most durable and fastest feeding mags produced anywhere. As always these HI-CAP mags are intended for 922r compliant rifles and M&P use only. The 3,5,10,15, & 20Rd capacity mags will be at dealers before the end of the month. These 308 mags also have the last shot bolt hold open feature that the SAIGA 7.62x39 and .22
  3. I own all of the Saiga rifles and shotgun's. My favorite to shoot is the 7.62X39 because the ammo is cheaper. I can't count how many thousnds of rounds I have put through them but it's a lot. The thing I like about the Saiga's is I don't have to keep them clean. They work as well dirty as they do clean. I love to shoot but hate to clean up. Bad habit I guess but I found the firearm to keep me happy. You can find Golden Tiger right now for about $170 per thousand Rd's plus shipping. You can also get good deals on the ammo section of GunBroker.com. It's just a constant search and when you find
  4. The 7.62X39 mags have a very tight lock-up fit. Do not file the rear lock-up lug to try and make it fit. Install the front part of the mag as usual and continue to work the back lug back and forth against the rifles mag release untill it snaps into place. This takes less than a dozen firm attempts. This mag was specifcally designed for an extremely thight lock-up. It is designed for and being tested for other uses. This condition is not typical but could occur. Remember a tighter fitting mag makes for a faster feeding more accurate rifle.
  5. I picked up one tonight at a gun show and it seems pretty well made. Unfortunately it won't lock in to the rifle. I didn't have time to mess with it too much this evening but it would appear that I will have to take some plastic off the rear catch on the magazine. Its just kind of disappointing to buy a $40 magazine and it won't even lock into the gun especially after buying all three P Mags for my M4 for $40 and they function flawlessly. I'm sure a few strokes from a file will fix the situation. I guess I'm more disappointed than mad especially since I had to return my first Saiga to the
  6. I couldn't find the 30 round 308 mags on the link you gave...can you help with that Saigaguy? Thanks. Only 25Rd and under 308 mags are going to be manufactured. Unfortunately they won't be available till 1st or 2nd week of December.
  7. You forgot one thing. That SAR mag won't work in your saiga and if he turns down a mag that has U.S on all the parts plus says MADE IN AMERICA on the body with an AMERICAN FLAG on the body, I think he might work for the russians not the BATF.
  8. Give Gilbert's Gun Shop A call and see if they have a 308. Personally I like the short barreled one better. They will ship to your local FFL and they have great pricing. Talk to Jason, he will help you out. BY THE WAY THAT WAS GREAT YOU GAVE AWAY THAT MAG TO A FELLOW SAIGA OWNER, I APPLAUD YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. i have the same problem i need to modify my 10 round mag to a 5 or 4 round can anyone post a walk throe on how to do so? Pictures would be awesome!=^.^= or can u just e mail me CombatWombat98@hotmail.com THANKS A BUNCH! Joe Lowes Mags has the 10 Rd Saigas that you can cut down to a 5 and still use the same spring. SureFire Gun Mags also makes a 5 Rd mag for hunting purposes I don't know who has any at the moment.
  10. Gilbert's is a great company to do business with. They go out of their way to make you happy.
  11. You went to the right dealer for your 308. They will make you happy. Ask them if the conversion will accept the new SureFire Gun Mags coming out in Dec. They make a 25Rd 308 that I am sure will ROCK just like their other mags. By the way I use my 22" barreled 308 for long distance shooting. With a scope you will group under 2" at a 1000ft with Wolf Performance ammo.
  12. The Vepr mags and the Saiga 308 mags are not compatable. The new SureFire Gun Mag 308 mags are for the Saiga 308 rifle only. They will be for sale to distributors and dealers the first week in Dec. Great christmass present for someone. The 25 Rd mag should be a real S----------- Kicker.
  13. Get the polymer SureFire Gun Mag and change out the trigger group with Tapco's USA made version and that gives you the 6 parts you need for 922r compliance. You than can use any stock you would like. Remember that you still need to have a certain amount of russian parts on the rifle.
