  1. Two words, "MOLON LABE!". Now here's a thread right from my (our) backyard. Here are a couple of my daily devotions. http://www.survivalblog.com/ http://ignoranceisfutile.wordpress.com/
  2. The big plus in your situation is, if you convert it yourself, you will not only become intimately familiar with the anatomy of your rifle, but you will also save money by doing it. The bonus will be... you will have a Dremel and handtools left over---"For your next conversion, of course!!" Still would probably be cheaper than paying someone. Aside from the conversion, I can't imagine life without my Dremel tool! (LOL!) Just about everyone on here who has done a conversion, wants to do another one. F.F.F. Patriot out.
  3. Sure, tits are always cool. But what I'm trying to say is, just buy a SGL20 while they're available, and don't worry about a conversion. They're pretty much guaranteed top quality, (since they're from Legion/Arsenal rather than just Izhmash), and they have dimples, a threaded barrel, bayo lug, and include the best x39 poly mag available, (a "circle-10" 30 round mag), they are well worth the cost. Don't mind me none, fellas. Just tryin' to create a small diversion from some of the heat in here. Gothchick, don't mind me none, either. I used to be the guy at some of the biker shindig
  4. Gothchick, I think what these guys are trying to say is... "SHOW ME YER TITS!!!"
  5. Remember when a 1000 round case of Wolf was only $189 (or less). I remember Wolf selling for $129.00 a case at a Las Vegas gun show, about three years ago... I luckily still have over 2500 rounds left from that purchase, when then the only 7.62 I had was an SKS. If we only knew then what we know now- specifically for powder and primers!
  6. Yea, SOPMOD, that was pretty distasteful to refer to peter- puffin', cum guzzlin', rump ranger faggot as gay. Please be more sensative towards these homos.
  7. How is that index sleeve connected to the barrel? Is the sleeve on the barrel itself threaded, with a threaded muzzle brake? Or pressed on?
  8. I was under the impression that the dimples took out most of the side to side wobble out of the inserted magazine ( not like there was a lot in the first place).
  9. I've got the Tapco single hook in one, and a double hook in the other. I can't tell any difference in trigger pull on either. The only thing I notice is a very slight side to side wobble on the single hook, and no wobble whatsoever on the double hook.
  10. I went through damn near a six-pack, following these instructions.
  11. How does that grip feel? Is it ergonomically friendly? Nice job, by the way.
  12. I have a J-TAC brake on my wasr-10, and it keeps the muzzle down really well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhMilwqhEH4...feature=related
  13. Thank you Pariot!!! I did see Dinzags non converted. Is that an adjustable trigger? Also, did you keep the same buttstock for the rifle? The angle isn't the best for my hands, I keep going for the trigger with my middle finger. No, the trigger ain't adjustable. Dinzag modifys the Tapco G3 trigger by grinding it a little on one side, and polishing it smooth. His Saiga drop in assembly contains two of the three G3 parts that drop into a non-converted Saiga. You use one of the trigger parts that you already have, and the little spring. The reason I went this route, is because of
  14. 2) No, you cannot drop a G2 into it. There is a vendor who offers a modified G2 for factory Saigas, but you'll still have the sh***y trigger pull, because you'll still have the Rube Goldberg linkage that holds it all together. Ive got two Saigas. One converted with G2 trigger, and the other with Dinzags two-piece G2, (not converted, trigger not moved forward). It has the same crisp trigger pull as the converted. I can't tell the difference between the two, with the Rube Goldberg linkage still in place on my non-converted. I was wondering if there would be a difference after t
  15. fixed it for ya.... no you didn't its still spelled wrong... That's not what he means. I had another term that Juggernaut changed on me in place of the word "idiot". I'll give ya a hint: It rhymed with "bigga". I was with Battalion Landing Team 2/9, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. The first ones to hit the ground in that God forsaken shithole Somalia. Believe me, I have no problem whatsoever referring to them with another word besides "idiot". FFFPatriot
  16. Funny you should mention that. I forgot that I even had the sucker! (lol!) Now I've got a good excuse to go to the range, and do some plinkin' with that 2x magnifyer on it.
  17. Check out this stuff...http://www.gunbutter.com/
  18. I got the Vortex Strikefire on one of mine, and I couldn't be happier with it. I was a little sceptical at first, paying for an optic made in China, but this baby is well made, shock resistant, and holds zero perfectly. The only minute thing I don't care for on it, are the scope covers. Their a little bit of a PITA to close. A small pittance for a damn fine scope. I was impressed by the cheaper Barskas as well. Got one on my tactical shotgun, and one on my .40 carbine. Held up well on both so far.
  19. Say, what kind of socks are those? Don't think I've ever seen a pair without holes-in-the-toes before.
  20. Heres a fugly un-converted Saiga fer ya... 2304 x 1728 (1.08MB)
  21. Great setups! What kind of folding stock is that on the top one? It looks like the pistol grip is maybe part of the stock? That would be a great add-on if it is. I'm looking for a pistol grip/stock replacement other than the Tapco one. It's a Russian made folder, I can't remember the specific name, but it's made in Russia. Yes, the pistol grip is part of the stock. I bought it from www.davidscollectibles.com .
  22. How does that mount work on the lower one The rail is built into the receiver cover, and has two screws on the back that tighten, preventing the cover from moving. It is really stout. You can easily see the iron sights underneath. My illuminated recticle scope holds zero when I re-install after removing. I'm very happy with it.
  23. Thanks brother. I just put in an order for 2k of them, immediatly after reading your post. Man, I thought it was hard finding 7.62 ammo, I spent around six hours yesterday, and probably an add'l ten more last week looking for powder. Damn near everyone is sold out, and many aren't back ordering.
