Just had a small fire in the shop... assessing damages.

glad to hear it was minor. an FYI - trying to paint over soot, especially a chemical fire soot, is a serious pain in the ass. about the only thing that works for a primier is shellac based "bin" in the red can. make sure you ventillate the room WELL and wear a respirator when you use that stuff indoors on anything other than a water spot....

Last night a man in his 70's lucked out and was able to buy several boxes of AR-15 5.56 NATO round ammo at the sporting goods store. On the way home he stopped at the 7-Eleven gas station where this drop-dead gorgeous young blonde was filling up her car at the pump next to his. She glanced at the ammo boxes in the back of his Jeep and said in a very seductive voice, "I'm a big believer in barter, old timer. Would you be interested in trading sex for ammo?" The old guy thought...

Mmmm leftovers never tasted so good! Smoked, bacon wrapped beef brisket served with home made horseradish cream sauce, a bowl of Aju dippin sauce, carmalized onions and chipotles cooked with the meat while browning, and steamed cabbage.... with a side of balsamic marinaded fresh cucumbers! And a COLD BEER.... Life is good.

Today: After spending the morning with a church work group tearing out drywall in a house flooded out from Issac, I went to the Gun Show with my FiL and 6yr'ol son. Listening to a vendor talk to a guy, I had one of the best laughs in quite awhile. Showing the guy a Saiga 5.45, the vendor says, "All you do is change out the barrel to a 21" and it is deadly accurate out to 600 yards."

Its not about the BAC, its about how much it affects people. What really stinks is that I cannot even go out at night, once i crack a beer, because all these kids and monthly partiers cant control thier shit. Im not argueing it, but still, its crap. Everybody, if you have a beer or a glass of wine, DONT GO ANYWHERE!!! YOU ARE NOT PART OF OUR SOCIETY.

Finally got out to the range with the wife, she did well for a newbie. She has been shooting a lot with an electric airsoft gun for almost a year, so she fires three rounds from the 10/22 then looked at the side of the gun and asked where the switch is.... I ask what switch? "For auto duh!".. I figured explaining NFA laws would take to long so I just said "that costs extra".
