ya know, one of the things i have realized in my short life, and ive come to appreciate is my right to bear arms and my right to free assembly as well as free speech....
business shoots are different. but the personal "lets gather" shoots i love. i used to do them every weekend back home....you hear me shooting, come on over, BRING IT.
its not about competitiveness, its not about who has what, its not about yadayadayada, its that we are all on the same floor. period.
forums should not be about fighting or bickering, as this is the digital form of us all standing on the firing line together, in tune together, like minded, and have the same willingness. i saw that last weekend again, and im going to remind you all of that.
its ALL of us, not some of us. thats where it should be left. that simple. E Pluribus Unem.

im not going into all of the details, but i handled (as admin or moderator at the time, dont remember which) the widowmaker situation and cameron whom i still consider a friend of mine/ yeh that whole affair got pretty ugly./// i spoke directly with tech branch head about the whole drum thing begging them to follow the law to the letter and not ban the best every mans' shotgun available, which they agreed was correct with my arguement. there was a total shitstorm thats for sure....then the product issues after, cameron getting thrown into the fire, nine million phone calls and hours....yeh now i can look back and take a deep breath, but as much as my conduct of that situation was off in some ways, i think i did right by everyone in doing what i did.
btw, the machine gun shoot today was awesome! lots of good memories of saiga shoots and the people there then and how we all interacted came right back to me....
the poison i had in me is completely gone what a great day and sore shoulder i have had.

after selling off almost my entire gun collection and accessories by 2011? or so? (i only kept the four from my childhood) i just now got my interest back in firearms and have begun buying a new collection. you guys woulda died laughing if you were a fly on the wall the first time i tried to reassemble my c308 when i first got it. man oh man did i feel stupid when i couldnt get the rollers on the bolt in the right spot, to re-insert it into the receiver ....for two hours....LOL i wound up throwing the operators manual across the room and went saiga mechanic on it with a mallet and figured it out the old fashioned way. it made me think of the old days here, actually.

they probably did. BUT i saved you one hell of a headache and some money to boot with that heads up and meeting even if it was all for nothing. i got fucked over in my own endeavors remember....
as for the other part, i do it to everyone. part of having a rifle since age 5 and millions of rounds off your shoulder....my eyesight and nerves are going, so i cant bet on it any longer, but hey, its all fun anyhow, and i still teach kids and new gun owners shooting etiquette and technique. why waste knowledge, is my thinking....give me a handgun however, and im still bad with it, but ill get 3 of 5 charcoals at 50 feet....
you should round the gang up and come up next sat for the shoot....its going to be pretty casual, would be good to see some old friends' faces too.....

but i can still knock a saiga apart and warranty it on a pallet with a block of wood or in the middle of a cow pasture or make a benelli owner cry, and STILL outshoot you with your own rifle or keep you from being sued for patent infringement (true stories great memories)

i still do drive bys. machine gun shoot sept 1st hernando sportsmans club 9am sharp if anyone's interested. bring ammo.
edit to add - ive been here since pretty much the beginning and walked through all of what could possibly be a good part of my life through this forum. for some years i was angry and felt violated and cheated at times, but all in all it was a good experience, and i can say to myself that i did that.
there are a LOT of good people here, old and new. this always was and still is, a different type of forum/community/. very personable. even when we hate each other we are still there and will still help out. even when cobra and i were at each other's throats, i could still call him or he me, for help, and end the conversation with "go fuck yourself".
I have met a number of you, and worked on a great many member's guns as well. i never left? i just got burnt out i guess......

this site would be more complete with a section just for black powder, then another for the rest, air guns/archery/knives
i mean, i know this is a russian made saiga site, but it is a shooting community as well, and most of us shoot more than just a pistol, or just a rifle, or just a shotgun....
i have very few people now that i shoot with, and even less that i know that have good knowledge of our sport, and what leads up to it.

I was marketing and sales for Tome Cole, and I have shot "the beast:" a number of times.
I am 6-3 200 and with 3" cannon rounds, it did knock the heck out of me. I DID like the 12" full choke barrel and the lightness of it. accuracy was not bad,
i would prefer that configuration now with a 13.5-14" barrel with that stock for the extra weight
the beast knocked quite a few people back, including myself.
oh btw, put a front pistol grip on it and use it, dont use the mag as a grip for your off hand...you have to manage recoil with that stock or it will tear you a new asshole

i have already been affected by the new rules in florida. its bullshit. its a mental health issue. you arent blaming terrorist attacks on guns, so why should you blame a domestic attack on guns?

I mean , dont misundertand me folks. I am grateful for public servants and such, but they mosty are just that. socialist workers. we cant expect those folks to just throw themselves on the fire at will as if its a job requirement, I mean, come on really now.

i have one inbound for personal use. will let you all know. yes im going to torture it.
i will be looking at quite a number of things, and will keep my review from the lamers perspective.
im thinking of a lot of things to check on it, but am very excited to get it next week. ive been looking at this gun for a month now.
anyone wants me to check something specific, let me know, i will try to accomodate you. i will be checking metallurgy, among other things. trigger, parts fit, finish durability/heat, barrel lining, overall strength, magwell tolerances, etc lots of stuff.... stay tuned....
if you have questions put them in here, cause ill be checking next week folks.....
im even going to check the gas block and sights.....
it should be here next week, we shall see.....
