  1. I was about to comment saying Dinzag already does it, but that shows how much I follow that kind of thing. It all sounds fair to me, if I were looking to thread another x39 barrel.
  2. Bummer. Good call on the details CSS
  3. Looks like a modernized C96 Mauser pistol. Reverse image search led to me a couple asian pages with no real leads. Also looks like a fun pistol.
  4. Comes with everything shown, except kitchen table. The bolt is a 7.62x39. Bolt carrier is cracked, I'm told probably NOT fixable, but has a good piston and the charging handle can be chopped off and used for something else...? Grip screw nut has the loop for semi-style selector. $300 OBO Or trade for AR (pistol) parts And the cracked carrier:
  5. We take them out of the air just fine on my family's farm with a 12g. +1 for the DNR book
  6. I didn't care to fact check the video I watched earlier (because of it's HIGHLY LIKELY TRUTH), but it said something like a mere 7% of donations actually go towards research, the rest goes to campaigning about donations, organizers' salaries, etc. I'd rather do the pepperspray/waterboard challenge for veterans suicide awareness either way
  7. pewpewpew boom boom boom... who is reading this? there's a thread with semi-naked girls holding guns, and you're looking at this? figure your life out! Thanks again Chevy, and same to your friend
  8. lots bb guns and muzzle loaders as well... get those dangerous one shot black powder babykillers off the streets!
  9. A regular client I work with asked if I would trade some work for his AK. It's an IO ak-47c. I've read mixed reviews about these rifles, but I'm only trading a few hours worth of work for it, so if it ends up being a lemon, I'm not out any cash, just some time and effort. The only thing that has me concerned is the front trunnion/barrel rivet (pin?). On the right side everything looks fine, but on the left it almost looks loose or sunk in. I tried getting the best pictures I can, but I've never claimed to be a photographer. Right side: And the odd looking left side:
  10. I found Black Aces (the modified receiver makers) about 2 months after ordering my AOW. I'm sure 2+1 will still be fun though.
  11. I had a few (not from sgammo) that looked fine and work fine when the follower was pressed down with a cleaning rod. When you would actually load ammunition in them they would bind about half way down. No major dents or anything was visible, so I compared them side by side to other euro mags. The back of the mag (where the rib is) was actually crushed in JUST enough to bind up. Easy fix: grabbed the rib in the bench vise and just pulled, no tools, no banging, no marring or scarring to the mags. And +1 to mostholycerebus, better QC to assume dented ones are bad than assume viceversa.
  12. Here's another unfortunate tattoo: Cute girl came in and showed us. She found out the hard way that "cheap" tattoos aren't good tattoos. I told her we could cover it up, but it wouldn't be another $20 job. "Life's hard, it's harder when you're stupid" See this crap all the time.
  13. I don't know how good Sig's customer service is, but he might consider sending it in for a "safety inspection" and see how they might be able to help him out. At the least he'd make sure the fire didn't have any ill effects on the metal, at the best........?
  14. Waiting on my form 4 to go through so I can play with my little 12, so in the mean time I figured I'd tinker with another grip for it. Looking for a plain Mossberg 500 wood stock. Beaten-up, chipped, cracked, swam at the bottom of a pond during duck hunting, or broken is fine. I'll be chopping it down to make a "birds head" type grip.
  15. slightly off track: but can you imagine the money they're making off that arm brace?!? jeebus!
  16. Pyzik is good for that hahahahaha.... spent a bunch of my money for me recently, not sure if I hate him or I should thank him.
