  1. I have all three, and really see no reason for the 20. The 410 is a pussycat to shoot and is fun for the whole family. The 20 kicks almost as much as the 12, so why bother? I'm in the process of converting the 410 and 20 (12 is mostly done) and will probably sell the 20 when done.
  2. I think what he's saying is he can't get at an open end of the tube to even get it started!. Had the same problem with my Ace tube stock. Gave up and didn't even try to take off the end plates.
  3. My trigger was hanging on the receiver cutout and doing the same thing. Had to force it back forward. File the crap out of the trigger until it moves freely. You'll see where it hangs if that's the problem.
  4. Nice shroud thingy, but does it go UP!!
  5. Don't know if this was answered in all the sweater mayhem! I would assume not since the welded-on Galil style handle probably weighs even more.
  6. Are all side rail mounts like this? Seems like the UTG is only really engaging the rail at the middle thick section. Seems pretty solid, but still. Not sure how else to do it unless you went lever action on the mount.
  7. Also avoid any CHLORINATED brake cleaners if you have to use brake cleaner.
  8. Went right on after I swapped the folder over. Now I need a Galil style charging handle. Ahhgg, it never ends!
  9. OK, I might be that stupid! I think the problem is my folder stock sticks out on that side (left folding) and is preventing me from starting back far enough to get the rail started. I didn't even notice the Saiga rail was dovetailed before! So much for quick on/off now as I'll have to remove the folder to get it on. Or cut the whole tail off the UTG which would then ruin its repositioning. Damn. I may just swap over to right folder and live with it. I assume it will still be OK even though I'm a lefty.
  10. Don't think I'm that stupid! But here's a pic to show what's happening. As you can see, the Saiga has a funky multi-thickness rail. From left-to-right on the rail it measures in thickness 0.28" - 0.548" - 0.226" - 0.367". The UTG, which is flipped and upside down, (and says 3rd Gen AK on the box) has a single width dovetail slot which measures 0.46". Ain't gonna fit without some prying and hammering and looking like shit after.
  11. What's the deal with these? I assume they are non-standard AK rails? Does anyone carry an adapter that goes over the top for scopes? I thought I had found what I wanted from ClassicArms. They had what was advertised as AK side-rail mounts which I thought were eastern block, but ended up being UTG stuff that didn't even come close to fitting! The Saiga rail seems to stick out more than what the UTG slot would allow. Now I have two of these bastards with nothing to put them on. Guess I HAVE to buy regular AK's now since I have side rail mounts and all!
  12. Do all the new Saigas come with the BHO? I thought they did. Someone said they just bought one without a BHO. May be confusing a LRBHO with a BHO?
  13. Buy the push button style folding mechanism.
  14. Umm, exactly the replies I got? I used these statements to throw back in "Elmer's" face!
  15. Someone thinks a combat prepped Rem 870 or Mossy pump can out shoot a Saiga. After my glib zombie killing statement Thoughts?
  16. OK, The Tromix grip IS NOT a modified Tapco. I had a Tapco and while it worked was a POS compared to the Tromix. Buy Tromix once, and you won't have to buy twice!
  17. Typical, I figured they'd be OOS. Did they give you the same price though?
  18. Who, Cadiz or Classic? Check the 4th photo down on Classic's site.
  19. Just saw Classic has some S-12's listed at $519. Not a bad deal if they still have stock.
