  1. i dont get my toys based on games... If that was the case i had a P-51 Mustang or a F4U Corsair from IL-2 and a Supra from NFS outside my house i pick my toys for their ability to accomplish the task they're made for. example: you dont take a shotgun for a 200 yards varmint hunting same way you don't use a bolt action .22 mag for HD. --- This is more of a Saiga Designated Marksman Rifle than a sniper rifle ---
  2. Yeah i'm buying both if they sell it
  3. hello everyone I have good news! i called RAA (Russian American Armory" this morning and the person who answer the phone seems very professional so i ask him if there would be any chance that we can see those (5.45x39 & 7.62x54R) saigas in the US any time soon. He told me that they're under a contract for this year, some of the weapons are in backorder (regular Saigas) so there is no way he can get something different at this time, but here's the good news He told me that they've inquire about them and that we may see one or both (i hope they get both) saigas in the US "sometime n

  7. that does look good! how much you want to the original skeleton stock?
  8. Hi all... i got my new saiga last tuesday, it's a .223 with 20''BBL, all i can say is "this is the most accurate ak rifle that i have ever shot" but i'll get to that later, i'm going to tell you the short story. i start off at 25 yards because i wanted to sight-in the red-dot , the first 2 shots where 2 feets away from the paper but after i worked that out i move it to 50 yards... 50 yards then after a few shots at 50 yards i move to 100 yards (still sighting the red-dot) 100 yards and finally moved back to 50 yards, but this time (still sighting) i was looking for
  9. Thanks bro.. that clear the skies for me
  10. that would make the .223 less flexible....right? BTW can anyone show me the 2 front tips of .223 and 7.62 in a picture? i may buy one tomorrow (online) and i would like to see them... one more thing.. do they come with a threaded barrel to add a compensator? on a side note: i have seen a lot of people talk about their Saiga "Y" stamp, so i look at my Romanian AK and it have that "Y" but it doesn't have dimples.... what is so important of the "Y" to you all? Yeah i know... i ask too many questions...and i'm sorry for that, but i'm new to the AK family, and this place is a TON of use
  11. hi all, i was talking to my dad about the saigas... and he told me that if the barrel are the same and only the caliber is different, the .223 would have a thicker barrel-wall than the 7.62 because the bullet is smaller, but i didn't know what to say because i don't know if they measure the same thickness from the outside... so here's my question and an image (i draw it myself) soyou have an idea what am talking about. is there a difference in thickness between the 223 and the 7.62 if you measure them from the outside? if so, which barrel is thicker? if not, which barrel have thicker w
  12. Hello guys, "admins/mods" Please allow this thread in the 3 saiga sections so i can get feedback for all saiga users, Thanks a lot. a while ago and post a similar post hoping you guys could help me pick a saiga, since i saw a very close score between .223 or 7.62 i end up buying an AK, but the (saiga bug bite me againg) and this time is a hard one... so here i am, asking you all, one more time... which would be a good choice as a sniper weapon, .223, 7.62 or 308 and also a 16'' or 20'' barrel for (under 400/600 yards) keep in mind, accuracy, stopping power and ammo price .

  15. I bet he don't have a Momma that wants to get him 2 Saigas for Chirstmas... hahaha... my mom won't buy me a BB-Gun, she just don't like guns at all, but that's not the problem. Thanks for all the comments, the saiga won't me my first rifle, i also own a SKS, Remington 700 SPS 30-06, Mosing-Nagant 91/30 and M44, but...i just love the look of the saiga, i'm going to get an AK-47 a few weeks and i will go with the saiga 223 to shoot the hell out of it, since i have the SKS in 7.62x39 and the AK-47 comming up, i think is better to have an original AK with the original round and

  17. OK, i want a new rifle for christmas, so i look at the Saiga .223 and 7.62x39 but here come my problem, i can't make my mind... i know i have to pick a caliber i just don't know which one to pick. i won't do any mayor modification to it other than the stock, and a red-dot, and i'll use it to target shooting at 100 yard, but from time to time i may go hunting Wild Boar or Feral Pig, nothing bigger than that. i would like to hear any comments about the accuracy of those two calibers (.223 and 7.62x39) at no more than 200/300 yards... thanks for your help.
