  1. I have had very good luck with ammunitiontogo.com Several times I have thought about joining Sportsmasguide, but I have just never gotten around to doing so. WJ
  2. I should have the Saiga tomorrow. Until then, Cliff or Keith at Tac 47 will have to post how they installed it, if they wish to do so. WJ
  3. This is the less expensive Hiviz fiber optic sight mounted on my Winchester 1300: WJ
  4. Greg's customer service cannot be beat. He ships faster than anyone in the industry. Great selection of products, too.

  5. Keith and Cliff are outstanding! Excellent products, excellent work and excellent customer service. I have bought several items from them and they have worked on my other S-12s. They have always exceeded my expectations.

  6. Mike rocks! I have bought two of his S-12s and I highly recommend him as a man of character and great skill.

  7. Strictly point and shoot--no rear sight. This was going to be a home defense shotgun, done in all black. But, I had an extra od green grip, so I sent it to Keith and Cliff and decided to change the whole color scheme of the gun. So, the final iteration evolved a bit from the home defense "night fighter" concept, but that is okay, as I am a big fan of od green and tan. As to the mounting, I do not yet have the shotgun, it should be here Monday, so I have to leave that discussion to Keith and Cliff. WJ
  8. I don't know anything about the store "Outdoor Bunker," but their price on the TruGlo tritium shotgun sight, at $69.97 is the lowest I've ever seen for this sight. http://www.outdoorbu...p/(tru-tg131sg-).htm "The TruGlo TFO Shotgun Front Sight is the ultimate tactical shotgun sight. TFO is TruGlo's patented combination of Tritium and Fiber Optic Technologies. The Tritium technology keeps the sights brightness level in low-light or no-light conditions. You can see your sight in complete darkness. The Tritium glows and does not need any batteries or to be charged with light. Feat
  9. I have to believe that my forthcoming Tac 47 S-12 does have the biggest, fattest, brightest, tritium sight on the market! It looks great Cliff and Keith. Excellent job mounting that tritium bad boy on my S-12 Thanks!!! WJ
  10. Excellent customer service from Mike!!! I sent my Lone Star Arms S-12 out to be cerakoted in a digital camo pattern (yes, I know, I have a thing for digital camo). The guy who did the camo work did a great job with the coating, but not such a great job with the reassembly. I asked Mike if he would inspect the reassembly job and correct any errors done by the cerokote guy. Mike readily agreed to check out the gun, he fixed a few minor reassembly problems and rapidly shipped the shotgun back to me. Awesome customer service. Thanks, Mike. WJ
  11. I can do that! I guess I was really asking, in a round about way, if any particular rail does not fit right or is not quite machined correctly. Lawyers generally ask things in circular ways. lol
  12. Okay, I'm on a rail kick this morning, what can I say. For the gun smith challenged among us (I may be the only forum member in this classification), which quad rail fits the best and is easiest to install? I just put a UTG U.S. made quad rail on one of my S-12s last night and it was about the easiest thing I've ever done. It fit perfectly and went on easily. I have a few Chaos rails on some S-12s and I like them, but I did not install them, so I can't comment on how easily they went on. I am also excluding Zach's Kross rail as it is a tri and not a quad. WJ
  13. I must confess that I find the Tapco three rail fore end to feel rather cheap and to look rather cheap. What do you guys think of it? I think it would be my last choice for a rail. (There is a +$2,500.00 S-12 for sale on Gunbroker with the Tapco tri-rail---Yikes!) WJ
  14. Welcome to the forum! You are at the right place for advice and for access to excellent places to spend your money. WJ

    Stock Options

I don't like folders, either. I don't see any practical use for them as I don't have an APC or a tank. Give me a Vltor buffer tube, or a Mesa Tactical Enidine tube with a nice AR style stock on it and I'm happy. My preferred stock set up does not satisfy the 'purist" who like to keep their Saigas true to their Russian heritage, but I like them with a Vltor modstock or Choate AR stock or I even really like the CAA stock. 16. Knowing less than nothing about the concept of bending time and time travel, even if it is true, how would the cell phone get a signal with no cell towers or satellites overhead in 1928????
  17. There are a lot of possibilities here. I have seen some really excellent applications of tritium sights to S-12s. If Cliff or Keith want to post a picture of the tritium sight they put on my S-12, that is fine with me. I can't get the picture properly posted from my computer. But, I think you will like what Tac 47 did for me. The way they mounted the sight on my S-12 looks unique and nice. It is large, bright and according to Keith, it provides very fast target acquisition. (I am waiting for the finished shotgun to arrive, it should be done any day.) This sight may, however, be too long
  18. Agreed, I am moving on. I have wasted enough time on Derek. WJ
  19. My money's on "Major league jerk", or more accurately, "whiny little bitch". This guy's got a hard-on for guns that aren't even his. Enough of a hard-on that he sends messages to the owners on GB? .............and then starts threads about them on his own forum? That's some 5th grade shit, and the guy's obviously got issues. Maybe his mother didn't love him. Maybe his uncle played "Shhh...don't tell anyone" with him one time too many. Who knows? Funny thing is, he's using his tiny vacant forum for an outlet, and it seems that he's mostly talking to himself. I'm confused as to how t
