My Vette, my Solstice, my guns, my music!
  1. +1 on the Dinzag guide! I just put mine on, and I'm kicking myself that for something so easy, I took so long in doing! Wow, now ALL of my mags work! Cheers, Paul
  2. Thanks for the info! I'm looking around now! Cheers, Paul
  3. BronCobra, where did you get this knife? Is this one that has a compass on the end? Or can hold one? Does it come with accessories (saw, etc.) or do you put your own stuff in the handle? http://s158.photobucket.com/albums/t90/bro...nt=IMG_0781.jpg Oh, and thanks for the tip regarding the case! Sounds great! Cheers, Paul
  4. Damn, I get busy for a couple of weeks, and this happens?? Sorry about that! Hope you get well soon Racegal!! Will keep positive thoughts for you and Cobra. Rock on! Paul
  5. That's the link I started with! For my ZIP code, it came out fairly low so I went there to check it out since I have an account there, and the price was even lower! Shipping was $2 higher, but the ammo was $15 less! I'll take those numbers any day! Have fun guys, I think my ammo will be here by the end of the week too!
  6. Just wanted to let you know that Cabala's has their 7.62mm Wolf Military Classic ammo on sale for about $120 / 500, and after shipping, it was $135. That's $5.40 / box of 20. Granted, it's on backorder, but still. They don't charge you until it's shipping, and you're locked in against further price increases. Just thought I'd pass it on! Have a great Navy day! Paul
  7. Hey Cobra, in this picture, it looks like the trigger itself is ground off? What do you pull then to get the gun to fire?? I was thinking about just getting the Dinzag one, but I'm REALLY having a hard time justifying spending another $70 for this! Half that and I could do it, but holy chit that's one expensive group! Would he modify the one I've already got for substantially less do ya think? I'd ask him, but I've never gotten any response from any email or posting I've made yet. I'm no stranger to working on stuff (I play with my cars a lot!), and I don't mind learning more
  8. Thanks DW! Putting a pistol grip (or even the thumbhole stock) is harder to do here in Kommie-fornia because doing that automatically makes it an "assault weapon" unless I put a mag catch lockout on it. I can do that too, and I may end up with that, but it sure gets attention from others on the range, and I try not to be noticed! That being said, I don't really recall which FCG I have now! It is a single hook G2. Can I just grind down the hammer slightly thinner so it will work past the BHO lever? That's the main difference, isn't it? Sorry for the stupid questions, but I don't
  9. Hi guys, A few months ago I went crazy with trying to get parts for my guns and just now realized that I had a Tapco trigger kit in my parts bin. Is there any way to get this to work without doing the full pistol-grip conversion on my rifle? I really want a nicer trigger action than what is stock, what I have now. I'm pretty sure that the Tapco kit will do just that, but I've heard that this doesn't work on non-converted rifles without some grinding or modifying on the group. Also don't really want to try and sell this and buy yet another parts set. Can anyone point me in the ri
  10. When last I checked, the world can be a scary place. Better this than teaching them to hide their heads in the sand and hope the problem goes away. Yet, guess what? This is exactly what they want them to do. So, if they don't have to think about bad things, they'll never be confronted with bad things??? How fricking naive can one be? Liberals.
  11. Hi folks, I have an unconverted 7.62 rifle that I won't be converting due to the screwed up Kali laws, just for the purposes of not getting hassled. But I would really like to improve the trigger on this. I see that the Tapco G2 is pretty highly regarded but needs some modification to make it work. Honestly, I can't justify spending over $70 for Dinzag's trigger, when the Tapco is almost 1/3 of that and I can probably do the grinding/smoothing myself. Is there some directions available online or something? Just would like a smoother, lighter trigger. Any other options? Tha
  12. That's not how that works. Biden would become the Pres, and he would (not really, the DNC would) appoint a new VP. Pelosi is only 3rd in line if both the Pres and VP were unable to fill their positions, and then it's only temporary if I recall. If the Pres becomes ineligible, then the VP gets bumped up and a new VP is selected. If for some reason Biden becomes ineligible too, THEN she has a chance, and then only if it occurs before a new VP is selected. hth
  13. Anybody got a link or pic of this stock? Sorry, I'm not familiar with all the Tromix stuff yet! Thanks!
  14. Happy B-day! Mine was yesterday, I had the WORST present. But I also got a half-day racing certificate for Willow Springs Raceway, so it didn't completely suck! Hope you had a great day! Cheers, Paul
  15. I got a Vortex Strikefire from Liberty Optics for $129 shipped. Got very high marks from those on AR15.com too. Don't know if these are still for that price (I think they are), but they're a very good deal. Includes either the tall rings or short rings. I couldn't tell you which you would need but I got the tall ones for my AR rifle. http://www.libertyoptics.com/index1.html is his page. hth Paul
