  1. Every single person is out of the SGM chokes. Right now I am in between the polychoke and the adapter. I do have to admit that the poly choke with the shark type break looks a wee bit cool. But then again, most of you are saying that I will get a much tighter and reliable pattern from the adapter.
  2. With Turkey season approaching quickly, I am in search for a choke for my 19" Saiga 12. I am looking for a full choke that will allow me to take a turkey up to 40 yards if needed. It seems as if there are serveral choices. I have never purchased a choke before and am not fully educated in terms of chokes so bear with me here!! The most obvious one is the Polychoke II. After using the search function, I have found that many people opt for a saiga slotted choke tube adapter over the Polychoke. I was unable to find the reason why so maybe one of you guys can enlighten me. I did find a Sa
  3. Thanks for the replies.... I like the way that the chaos brake looks with an exception of the white CHAOS etched into the brake!!!!! From the link, I gathered that Tromix is going to be coming out with a new brake that is similar to the factory Izhmash flash hider, which I think would look really nice on our guns!
  4. I have been wanting to put a brake on my S-12 for some time now and was wondering what US made brake were available for our S-12's. Obviously, one of the most popular is the shark brake by Tromix. While I think that the brake is a great design, I would like to put something else on my S-12 (just personal preference). I tried to google it and I searched it on this message boards and the only thing I could come up with was the shark brake.... can anyone help me out!
  5. Seeing that you are only 28 years old, I would take the new job. Both of us know that you do not want to be plastering when you are in your 40s, so go ahead now while you are still young and pursue your aspirations especially when there may be potential to make more money in the future.
  6. I have no desire to start anything on this message board, but one of the things that I am starting to notice on various message boards is excessive "bashing" on newbies. I think that many people (myself included) have a slight tendency to say things on message boards that we characteristically would not say to other people to their faces. Sometimes can be an advantage, but at times it makes us act like a prick when we typically wouldn't be. The orginal poster was simply stated that he had observed a price jump of almost 70 percent in the cost of a product. In no ways did he imply that it
  7. You can carry firearms in the Greensboro show. I just thought that it'd be a great idea if people could test the ammunition "at site"....just kidding in case yall thought I was serious!!! By the way, the circus was going on at the same time that the gun show was. Needless to say, there were several concerned parents, who had no idea the gun show was going on, when they saw a ton of people carrying guns into the complex. Quite a funny thing to watch!
  8. I asked the guy that was two tables over why the rounds would be faulty and he told that sometimes the bullet does not go all the way into the die causing it not to fire. I am not a reloader so I'm not familar with what he may be suggesting.
  9. I wish they'd let me carry my firearms to the show next time so I can "test fire" the rounds to make sure they work before making a purchase
  10. I forgot to add that the guy at two tables over.... said that we were the second person to return ammo to that particular guy.
  11. I am not sure if any of you guys will find this to be of any significance, but I want to post this anyways! My friend and I went to the gun show Saturday in Greensboro, NC and bought quite a few things including my first Mosin Nagant (very fun and cheap gun to shoot). At the gun show my friend bought a 300 case of reloaded 308 rounds from Carolina Ammunition (located in Fayetteville, NC). We shot our guns after the show and when my friend tried to use his Saiga .308 with the new ammunition that he had bought......nothing. The gun would not fire nor would the bolt fully close all the way.
  12. I am doing a powerpoint presentation on gun control and want to include a video in my powerpoint presentation. Although, I cannot figure out how to save the video onto my computer so I can transfer it onto the powerpoint. I have tried to right click the video, but it is not giving me an option to save the video. The only thing it says when I right click the video is zoom in, zoom out, quality, settings, print. Can anybody tell me how to save a video onto my computer so I can incorporate it into my powerpoint presentation. Any help would be greatly appreciated!... by the way I have to
  13. I am not familar with exactly what bedding the action is and how it will enhance accuracy. Can somebody explain to me!?
  14. Rocinante, thanks for the links. I had never even heard of these sites until you mentioned them. The 300 Ultra Mag is a excellent cartridge, but the rifle is simply decent. I would have had more options if I had gone with a remington 700 rifle, but I have always used Browning rifles to hunt with in the past. In case you guys were wondering... here are the stats for the 300 UM. 3450 fps 4421 ft lbs at muzzle and 3712 ft lbs at 100 yds Trajectory at 250 yds= zero at 300 yds= -2.6 inches at 400 yds= -11.1 inches Again, thanks for the link!
