***Thread resurrection*** Well, that settles it. The FAL is a piece of shit with feed lips that are entirely unsuited for opening soda cans. I can't believe 93 countries could have been so stupid that they overlooked that major design flaw . The reason the US chose the M-14 is because it was made in the U.S. ***end thread resurrection*** Now I feel better.

Went out shooting today, and brought my AR along - nothing special, just a 16" stainless RRA upper - not even floated - and I shot a .598! 5-shot group off a rickety old wood bench with the Federal 100 pack 55gr. cheapies..... this is the best group I can remember shooting (ever), and it was almost effortless. I have never been a real fan of the AR-15 rifles with their light weight - I prefer the feel of an FAL - but this damn thing just impresses me more every time I take it out. I've put years in behind my FAL, and have never gotten even a 3-shot group under 1".......just pisses me off.

You need to move to North Dakota. Among the very short list of reasons to live here is this - my local True Value hardware store has Surefire mags on hand - and they're even a decent price! Plus he has a Saiga 12, an FN AR, a P90, a Five seveN........

I don't need one that bad, but I thought I'd try to cut some angled vents into one to match my collapsible stock (from a SIG 556).........I hate to experiment on the only one I have.

I would love to see this happen. I've got a few of the CProducts 6.5 Grendel mags, and they are perfect - great quality AND great price - what more could a guy want? I'd take a half dozen of the first run based on his reputation alone.
