  1. finally got my hand on a drill i could use... it was a single speed 3000rpm drill but i was able to just pulse it and it cut through without any problems (didn't even use any oil) i threaded it using the kit that came with the bullet guide from dinzag and it was super easy. i was concerned about trying to be at the perfect angle and perfect alignment, etc... it was worry about nothing. i got the hold drilled through and of course it was slightly at an angle. set the bullet guide in and the hole is offcenter of where it needed to be (arrghhh). threaded it anyway and then went to see if it'd
  2. ok, this conversion process hasn't been too bad. actually much less intimidating once you actually get to work. only ran into a couple little issues (getting that spot weld drilled through was a PITA), then i realize i bought a double hook G2 trigger group so i had to modify the receiver. all in all it has been a fun little project short of one point: getting the bullet guide installed. i've burned up the bit that Dinzag sent with the kit, i've tried two other bits that didn't even rub the paint off the trunion and finally ended up using a diamond tipped bit and started making a little pro
  3. Sweet hat!!! i want one... (do they come in extra huge? seriously... i need like a 7 3/4)
  4. The bakelite is pretty crude looking, but it goes with the wood/bakelite furniture. It kind of grows on ya. To tell the truth looks pretty good on the gun. interesting... i've always thought the standard ribbed mags looked great in it. to each his own
  5. beautiful!!! for some reason though, i've never been a fan of the bakelite mags... whats the appeal to you guys?
  6. oh yeah -- good news indeed!! i've been wanting to pick up a 7.62 as well as a 12g
  7. i recommend a USED late model 600cc bike... get a feel for riding on that (which you could probably get for <$4000 easy in fair shape). the 250cc will get old real quick and you'll be wanting more power. chances are: you're gonna spill it sooner or later. might as well spill a used bike than your brand new shiney one. oh yeah -- get a helmet and some gloves at the VERY least.
  8. u can never trust a lefty...
  9. i know length is a personal choice on these things, but what would be the best way to determine which length would suit me best? also, if you guys got pics of your Saiga w/Ace Folder i'd love to see some
  10. i've heard of more than once where officers found a fellow officer dead from "cleaning his pistol" where they had to search the whole house to find his cleaning supplies i guess it's sometimes easier for the family when it is an accident
  11. is the reciever "finished" under the trigger plate or will it be exposed needing some treatment?
  12. hey now... the .40 guys prefer to refer to the 10mm as the .40 magnum lol Glock 23 here... 13+1 deadly zombie stoppers
