  1. I'm planning to sell my Saiga online. I've been away from the community for awhile, so I am not up on the latest rules about selling and shipping. I tried the search feature, but turned up nothing. What do I need to know these days about selling a rifle online? Let's assume an out-of-state buyer. I'm in Texas, so everything on my end should be relatively smooth. What needs to happen with the FFL? Who can I ship through? What states can I not ship/sell to? Why isn't there a FAQ about this?
  2. Check out Freedom Optics. Very good people to deal with. Both of my transactions were very mooth. *Make sure you get a scope with the AK mount, not the SVD mount.
  3. I am happy to see a reputable company finally want to take on this project. After having three or four no-names falter, I think the mags we seek may actually materialize. Thanks.

    Red Star FCG.

I just used their basic 7.62x39 model. It dropped in easily and feels great.
  5. Or, you can get an unfinished stock & PG from Battlerilfe or Ironwood and finish them to match the wood Saiga handguard. Also, if noone has mentioned this yet, I recommend getting the adjustable FCG from Red Star Arms. It's a straight drop in and gives you a very nice trigger pull.
  6. I just used the "AK 7.62" one in my .308. It works great! ETA: While you're at it, get their retaining plate, too.
  7. There is nothing wrong with the "dreaded" Belarus mount if you get the right one. They make their mounts with 2 styles of locking mechanisms - one for SVD mounts, and one for AK mounts. Saigas have an AK mount, so you neeed the one that looks like this: The "bad" Belarus mount GOB speaks of is the SVD mount. The clamp on this PSOP is an SVD clamp.

  9. Blackjack Buffers has what you need.
  10. I saw a .308 at a store here where the owner had spliced three mags together to make a 26rd mag. I looked similar to the 10rd 20ga mags. It was rediculously long.
  11. At first I thought that was a x39 with a .308 mag shoved in it. BTW, have you seen this one: Cool .308

    Holy shiznit

I used the trusty Dremel and a #9903 tungsten carbide cutter. After burning up several drill bits, this bit ate through the rivet like it was butter!
