  1. I don't have a problem looking past those things. I own several Llama pistols which are as reliable as any auto pistol I own. Llama made some real cheap pistols that hurt their reputation. If you look at todays manufacturers S&W is not doing much for the Walther line and Ruger had a few recalls
  2. well needed to take a look at the total collection so I shot a few pics while I was at it. I did forget to put todays carry pistol in the mix, my cz27 almost forget I have it with me sometimes.
  3. Well just got back from a very expensive weekend of shooting. Full auto 223's, 308's and 9mm. along with my new Safir T14. The Safir was a big hit. We shot the piss out of it (1250 rounds) and it worked great on everything except winchester bird loads. The winchester slugs ran perfectly and were suprisingly accurate. The remington ammo worked great in bird, buck and slug rounds. I took a couple hundred rounds of my reloads which worked well, just need to make sure they have clean crimps for uniform feeding. I did not try any of the noble 410, the crimps on them are not as clean or unifo
  4. picked up the Safir and will be heading out to shoot it this weekend. Funny thing is that while attending a 3 day gun show here in Phoeix today (to pick up lots of slugs for the t14), I found a guy selling a Safir T14 in the classic configuration. Makes me wonder just how many of these were brought over in the last shipment. I checked one of my buddies 20 round AR mags and it locks up just fine in the magwell. Looks like it my be a simple modification to the feed lips and the follower and could have some more mags. I am not sure how the 30 rounder would handle the rim of the 410 shel
  5. If all goes well should have mine by the weekend. This works out great as we have an automatic weapons shoot and it will be interesting to see the reaction, even though it is only semi auto I am sure it will get some attention. Now to find the 10 round magazines for it. I already have to plan more time behind my 410 reloaders, between the saiga and safir I am sure they will get very vrey hungry. Thanks for the heads up zakmatthews, I have been wanting one ever since I first saw them.
  6. wish I would have seen it, I would have had it in my possession now. Got an email back (guy who had for sale in first post) said he sold 10 already and has no more and did not when he could get more. Hopefully he can get more soon.
  7. I have been wanting one of these ever since I ran across them. I have been watching the sporting products website that was going to start bringing them in early in 2008 but that did not come to be. Hoping that Gordon will return my emails or phone messages about these shotguns he has for sale.
  8. In Arizona we have to fill out the form and it has to be either called in, NCIS check, or you have to present an FFL, CCW permit or if applicable a C&R lic. The FFL and C&R licenses holders would have records needed to be kept as with any transaction. This is the same process wether you buy it out of state or get it from a local dealer. There is no delay in the process other than the time it takes to fill out the forms and if needed the NCIS call. Now if you pick up more than one firearm the FFL is required to send in a seperate form letting the BATF know that you purchased more th
  9. I picked up 5000 rounds of the golden tiger when JG had it a few weeks ago. Today when I was there they said they sold 500,000 rounds of the stuff in less than 4 days. We picked up a wasr10 (that came in on backorder) to play with and 1000 rounds of wolf to break it in this weekend. I left a beautiful M1 Garand on the shelf, JG had 3 as of this morning. They are priced at 750, probably gonna kick myself for that one.
  10. don't know why but some say they replace the dust cover and then adjust the ejector spring to help with ejection. I have never had any trouble with mine and I use several of the black dog mags with great success.
  11. I actually prefer the 410 for small game, dove and quail hunting over the 12. As far as home defense the 20 all the way. I don't want to have to bother with the larger recoil and heavier gun when, lets face it we will most likely be just waking up to find and intruder. All that being said I use my converted 20. I believe I and the rest of the family can handle it very easily and it is considerable shorter than either of my other saigas, they are still in sporting configurations.
  12. Great to live in AZ I guess. With the CCW permit they don't need to call, just fill out the form and the ffl makes a copy of your DL and CCW and you are good to go. This has been the best part of the CCW for me. BTW the moisin are great rifles, which one did you get? I have the 44, 38 and that led me to my PSL (because of the round)
  13. If I am going to use 12ga shotgun for hunting, then I go back and forth between two. The first choice is my S12 and the second is my Spartan SPR453 made by Bakail (shoots 3 1/2 for geese). This year during duck season I had to work on 3 Benelli's while the Saiga just kept rockin. The conditions of duck hunting in AZ seem to be the hardest on the shotguns. The cattails, saltcedar and water all combine to make most other shotguns gum up and rust. My Saiga looks just as good today as it did when new, ok a few handling marks. I have found it is easier to show people the Saiga is better than
  14. I picked up my PSL this past Monday. I am taking it out this weekend to see how it does. It would be helpfull if someone had a link to the "how to use the scope" threads/information. I have the rifle all cleaned up and ready just need time. JGsales had the bulgarian ammo for it so I picked up some to try.
  15. gunfixr sent me one and all is good in my Saiga world again, well it would be if I could find a 308 saiga
  16. Only 246 days to figure out what you want to do and have it ready for the arrival of the ducks. I have the polychoke on my s12 and it works great for knocking down ducks and even its first can this year.
  17. I have found the S12 to be one of the best duck guns. I have had to work on 4 of the 5 benelli's that my buddies use this year. Most of the problems were simple pin breakage or ejector broken but the Saiga just keeps firing round after round. I use the plugs from Cobra and have had great success with them. Now that the season is drawing to a close the ducks have finally made it here. I am headed out in the morning for a few hours. Sadly I don't take a lot of pics when duck hunting the conditions are just too rough on the equipment, salt cedars are a b*tch on gun finishes and electrical e
  18. I have a pt99 pre rail and a pt101 stainless with rail. Both are my hunting pistols and have taken a fair amount of game. For kicks I have the pt22 and will be picking up a pt138 within the next few months. Never had any troubles with the taurus line of autos. Was headed out to pick up a taurus 22 revolver the other day but came across a ruger single six at a fair price so went with it instead.
  19. I have two in 9x18 and one in 32, still looking for the 380 version. They have been great guns. 100% reliable. Surplus mags are available very cheap. While it is not my primary carry piece I would have no problem using it for one.
  20. currently for ducks, they are in season here now. Occassionally I use it for clay pidgeons but mainly to get practiced up for ducks. this year my buddies have broken three Benelli black eagles and one remington auto but the saiga keeps on rockin.
  21. I carry my real Walther ppk/s in 380 (not the american made junk sw copy) or a Polish P64, depending on how I feel that day. I used to carry a SW4053 but it was just to big for everyday carry. I still carry it on occassion but not very often. I don't know many people who carry the larger pistols on a DAILY basis, though some will tell you they do. The larger frames are just too difficult to conceal and keep concealed, at least for me. Winter time does bring on more options but here in the desert it is obvious if you are wearing a vest when it is 110 outside that something is wrong. I ha
  22. Exciting news indeed. Hope things work out as I would gladly take a couple for my modified S20. As was mentioned above the 410 could also use some love, but one thing at a time. Keep us posted.
  23. I don't know why anyone is surprised by the increase in sales. After all he did say he was going to get the economy on track and what a better place to start than with the gun/ammo industry?
