  1. I was just wondering what in the piston/gas system would have to change with a longer barrel?
  2. I am in PA, but can obviously ship the gun to a good smith. For the ATF, I only have to send them a letter informing them I changed the length from 8" to 12". Trying so see if R&R or Tac47 can do the work.
  3. Hi, I have a ETac Saiga 8" SBS and after a few years, I find the barrel too short to use in shotgun matches. I found and it looks like I can get a nice 12" barrel from them. Is there anything I need to watch out for when installing a new longer barrel? Gas Ports, Pistons, barrel? Let me know if you also can recommend a good smith to do the job. Thanks,
  4. Hi, I have a ETac Saiga 8" SBS and after a few years, I find the barrel too short to use in shotgun matches. I found http://iccmfg.com/saiga.html and it looks like I can get a nice 12-14" barrel from them. Can you recommend a smith that can install it correctly in my gun?
  5. Hi guys, I have this great SBS Saiga from ETec with an 8" barrel. That is very fun and cool, but not that practical when you want to hit something at 25yrds during a 3-gun match. Is there a screw on barrel extension of 4-5" that screws on like a flash hider? I still have a 10" flash hider that the gun came with to be legal in HI, but that is too much and I am looking for a tighter barrel with maybe even a choke option. Any thoughts? Are there any 4" external chokes out there?
  6. Hi guys, finally got my Saiga back from Esteban. He did a great job as always and build me the perfect Saiga Shorty. He added the rail and HK sights and converted it to the 8" system (Plus all the other good stuff that he does) . He shipped it with the Flashhider to be in compliance with Hawaii law. I had my Form 1 waiting and took the hider off with not too much work. Looks perfect with the sharkbreak. Took about 7 month to get done, but it was well worth it.
  7. Do you have a picture of that? I am having him build me one too right now and was wondering if I should go with the HK sights or rail..
  8. Has anyone tried out the Yukon Sightmark Mini Shot Reflex Sight? ~$100 and seems to be build just like the Dr. sight. http://www.opticsplanet.net/yukon-sightmar...ht-sm13001.html
  9. Normally I'd agree, except the letter said the barrel was OK too. But perhaps the rifle in question was an AK or something else with a semi permanent barrel...I don't remember If it were me I'd just engrave the receiver anyway. I am the person that wrote the letter and got the response from the ATF (this was also published in last years SAR magazine). The gun in question was an HK MP5. The barrel can't be removed easily so it it part of the fiream. I was able to engrave my barrel based on this letter. Your AR is different. You need to engrave the reciver. Good luck!
  10. Will this kit come with some instructions? Thanks, HK Shooter (Andreas)
  11. I am new to the Saiga as well. All I really want to do at this point is put the ACE folder on and get the pistol grip. I assume I need to replace the trigger, with the G2 parts and move it somehow back. Can you tell me exactly what to do with the trigger, is this easy or do I need to have someone else do this. thanks,
