here is my first conversion Saiga 308 . the front hand guard retainer is regular modified retainer with a ring a had turned. the front sight pushed back and threaded for the cetme flash hider. The old trigger guard was removed and old romy trigger was used. pistol grip hole was opened up to use standard pistol grips.

I threaded the barrell 17mm and the flash hider I reamed out the the 17mm thread also. I replaced the old trigger guard with a new one and opened up the hole for the pistol grip nut. here I adapted the front handguard retainer kinda like the one that dinzag sells

Can the saiga 308 front end be threaded and if so what diameter are you guy machining down the barrel? Can regular 14mm thread be use on a saiga 308 and has anybody here done i before?
