  1. Got my slotted S-12 poly choke from Centerfire the other day. Its a real Polychoke brand polychoke II.
  2. thinking outloud here..... is it considerable to mount a hand grip on the front handguard.... so then you have a "pistol grip" both fore and aft of the magazine.... and then instead of a folding buttstock.. somehow make a quick detach/attach buttstock that fits straight in, and then you can pull it out if you want to store it or just want to shoot without it ? pop it in, pop it out. kinda like an old Tommy gun where they sometimes didnt have a buttstock ? else maybe have to get the short ACE skeleton stock maybe ?
  3. Have you sent these out yet ? I sent you a couple of emails but have not heard back yet, and I do need one please. Thanks, Robb Hi Jake, Still no email or reply, you probably are not looking at the old group buy post, which I can understand, so thought Id catch you here. When do you expect to send the swivels out per above ? I need to make sure I get one from you. Thanks, Robb

    Hunting with a S12

I mentioned this in another thread already, if youre hunting in AZ, unless its migratory birds, you can use a 5 round mag on your shotgun. They changed the regs a couple years ago. I just put my S12 AK together and shot a bobcat with it this last weekend at 10 yards. I bought it with the Plan to use it extensively on predators. 3" #4 Buck really pounds them down. I take a bunch of coyote with a shotgun each year, lots of fun with a shotgun. I have been using a HK-Benelli M1 Tactical but as soon as my Saiga polychoke shows up, the M1 is going in the safe.
  8. I was ready to buy a bunch, but like you guys when I went to the site and found out the discount no longer worked, I changed my mind too. The original post really should have expressed that it was a limited time offer. I probably didnt need that many mags anyway. maybe they saved me from myself ? haha
  9. other than migratory birds, you can use a 5 round mag in AZ for hunting they changed the regs a couple years ago. also if you want to use it for hunting migratory birds, just put a block inside the mag to limit the capacity to 2. slam dunk
  10. After seeing Biskitz, I ended up swapping mine back to the factory forearm, but painted it tan first. Still waiting on my polychoke to show up. As to the stock length.... if it were any shorter, Id be afraid of getting bopped in the schnoz when firing a 3" magnum shell by the folding mechanism (I needed mine to swing to the driver side) The current length also seems to "look just right" too.
  11. http://www.cross-conn.com/Saiga_Conversion/Step_1.htm and then this helped a bunch too http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=5178 PS I did have to grind down the legs on the internal block to make it fit all the way in.
  12. got it together. In addition to the other custom fitting, I had to also grind down the top of the Tapco allen bolt that fixes the "stock block" to the rear rcvr area. the latch button/spring that keeps the rcvr cover wouldnt slide all the way back. also had to forgo the shepards crook for some individual pin clips, the crook just would not slide on ? I already had the Tan SAW grip and Galil forearm, from a yugo underfolder project that they did not work on. Krylon Satin Black paint to touch up. When its all said and done, I can see why Tony Rumore is backed up
  13. Got my stuff Friday night, got busy tearing down the Saiga and drilling out rivets and tack welds right away. then cut open the pistol grip nut hole. then cut off the rear tang and made it flush and smooth. I did have to trim the rcvr "stock block's" "legs" down about 3/16" so that it would slide in all the way into the rcvr. hunted all day today, then just now finished up trimming and detaching the trigger guard. drilled a new hole for the front of the tg. all I need now is a couple of machine bolts and nuts to fasten it on. paint. then I can reassemble.
