  1. That's weird, on mine i was putting the front sight at 6 o'clock of what i was aiming for, and it was dead on. Chasing cans all over the place. I've put another 50 rounds through mine and no issues. Does anybody else notice how hard you have to jerk the slide to hand cycle and make the round actually eject? The ejection port clearance is tight. Tight like nun pussy.
  2. I've got some bondo fiber laying around that i'm thinking about using to fill in the checkers. Thoughts? I've got to go back and look at your thread with that gun and figure out how to shape the edges like you or gunfun did
  3. A little more work on it tonight. I think i'm going to smooth out the checkers.
  4. Those old eagle 10/22 mags are awesome, i would like to get a couple of factory 25 rounders, though.
  5. Oh you didnt just go there...... You Texas motherfuckers and your chili. Y'all think you've got it all figured out. Why would there be a bean called 'chili bean' if you weren't supposed to put it in a pot of chili?
  6. Flying this since yesterday. It'll be substituted on the 4th.
  7. 15 minutes of measuring and cutting, i may end up going this route. I've got 2 more hand guards to work with.
  8. Yeah, i did look at that, its also a viable option that i considered. The shotgun is getting a 100 series folder, and i would like to keep the front end kinda low profile. I've already had a couple of 'oh shit' moments with this gun, as its the most expensive gun i own at the moment (with the gas system work), so i'm really trying to buy something that's plug and play, to avoid that feeling again. I'm not going for a straight replica like sKotts's 12C, but would really like something more OEM aestetically, honestly. The gunhas HK sights, so its not going to be 100% accurate, obviously.
  9. Looking at this, might be alright with some rail covers. Hopefully it would work with the 10" gas system, looks pretty close. http://www.mississippiautoarms.com/mississippi-auto-arms-railed-forearm-for-tromix-saiga-12-shorty-p-1780.html
  10. I may whittle on a factory rifle or shotgun HG and see if i can make something work.
  11. So i have this shotgun witha 10" gas system and an 18" barrel, and i need a handguard. I bought a k-var rpk handguard hoping it would fit, but it didn't. I have an s12 with an old school tromix HG, so i really don't want one of those, besides, i don't think you can even get them anymore. I really wanted an MSA galil type, but i don't think dude is serious about manufacturing them, or anything else for that matter. Not into rails, but would do it as a last resort. Any idea what to do? I have several s12 factory handguards and a couple of rifle HG, but would really prefer something else.
  12. Check apex, akforum classifieds or here. You'll want a 74 gas tube if you want a direct swap on the saiga rifle.
  13. My stock in RGR shot down from $50-ish a share to $40 a share in 3 days, even with an increase in firearms purchases in the sqme time. But today it was up over 7%. I'd like to think that there was a sell off due to people fashionably dropping stock in gun manufacturers right after the shooting. Now its picking back up because people realize that the threat is not AS iminent as it seems. There's still plenty of guns to be bought and sold, and some companies are about to make a lot of money. Just my .02. I did take out a small personal loan to buy some ammo though. Golden Tiger is back in stock!
  14. I picked up a desantis pocket tuk, i haven't decided if i like it yet. Whatever hide its made of is super grippy, but its pretty hard to get into and out of my waistband, I have to undo my belt and whatnot. I'm used to carrying a glock 23 in a don hume IWB holster or a PF9 with the belt clip. The ability to take the clip off and use it as a pocket holster is nice, but it only works with slas cut slacks, i can'tget it to sit in my bluejeans pocket comfortably or accesable. The angle of the holster is adjustable, which is nice. Once the holster is in my pants its really comfortable. The
  15. I would think people would be less sensitive now that we have had our first retarded president. Lol.
  16. I went over to my old place to move out the last bit of stuff, and one of the girlfriends from down the street stopped by. She had her kid with her, and he's got on this bicycle helmet. I'm like 'eric, are you going to special classes at school?' Cause he started kindegarden this year. I had him carrying some of the lighter stuff, and as we were coming back into the building my stuffy, bank working, tie wearing downstairs neighbor was coming home from the gym. The kid is still wearing this helmet, and i looked at the dude and said 'he's not retarded, he just likes that helmet.' The utter look
  17. Cool story, my main gripe with the real tree is that you chunk them after the holidays, that kinda aleviates the problem.
  18. They've been doing this for years around here, its an old hustle. But 100 rifles is pretty significant.
  19. Got to shoot my xds today, very nice. Shoots on point at around 25 feet, ejects shells in a nice pile about 8-10ft to the right, using monarch brass. No malfunctions, i couldn't be happier. I was certain that i was going to be writing something like 'i really wanted to love this pistol, but...'. Luckily its a keeper.
  20. Thanks guys. I've been routing wires around for the automation/AV system today. Already wired my garage door opener remote to an in-dash push button, gonna hook one up so i can close the door with my phone.
  21. Yeah, i got a kitchen too. Its pretty good, but there are some changes i want to make. Need to get the electric stove and oven swapped out for gas. I'd really like to find a stove top that has 2 burners and a deep fryer
