Just wanted to give you guys an update. I got a letter from the DA's office yesterday, the stick up guy plead guilty to robbery 1 and got 20 years, split to 3 with 2 years probation, apparently they dropped or have not persued the attempted murder. Yeah, I know. The driver has a youthful offender hearing next week. I called the DA office today, but haven't heard back from them, don't rwally expect to. Maybe I can get my pistol back soon.

I had a crazy asian girlfriend for about a year, she actually bought an M&P 9C at my urging. Then bought a hammerless Smith .38. I fear for my life.

I don't like the V front sight, but i've never shot anything other than AK's a whole bunch, so other platforms' sight systems look wierd to me. Also, the block that hangs down off of the front sight ix hideous.

I tried to fit one of those on my shortened gas system, it did't bolt up. Gun has a Tromix modified gas system for 10" barrel, bsrel isn't cut yet.

I was fondling one of these at the gun store, and have decided this will replace my PF9. The size is just about perfect, I just wish the extensions were +1 instead of +2. I think 2 more rounds will add a little more length in the grip than i'm wanting, but a 5 round mag just doesn't sit right in my hand, it needs to be just a little bit longer, and a +1 finger groove extension would be just about perfect. Also, what's up with the Croatian production? I guess it doesn't matter, but I thought most of SA stuff was from Brazil...

I was just tginking that the Dinzag high front sight is probably the same height as a regular AK front sight (since it works with the replacement rear sight block gas block whtever thing), and the CSS front sight is roughly the same size as a regular AK front sight. Is my thought process semi-valid?

I bought the CSS front/rear sight combo, and was wondering how y'all think the rear sight would work with a Dinzag front sight. I don't really like the CSS front anymore.

Not to mention the long term availability of .308.

Thanks for the tips, i'm not go in g to be reusing the trunnion, i'm going to try a 100 series folder. I have a turbothis s12 specific rear trunnion, but I need to keep the holes straight, they get reused.

Olin actually looks pretty strong, all they're doing in ammunition and chlorine/alkalide production. Apparently they've moved or are in the process of moving ammuntion manufacturing from Illinois to Mississippi to get away from the unions, which should save them money, and have ramoed up production in sodium hydroxide, which is used in all kinds of stuff. I'm going to do some more research.

I've thought about that but I have cash in my portfolio that I would rather not have sitting around my house, tempting me to use it.
