Its probably a full choke like mine was. IF you cut it it will go away.

Thats a good question. If I had one I could tell you but I dont. Id imagine the the thread size is around 7/8". You are talking about external threads right?

The problem with that is I dont have access to a saiga with a poly choke. Id have to have thread size and pitch as well as other dimensions to pull it off. Not only that but it would be more time consuming to make which would be more expensive. I need to test it out and make sure I have enough clearence at the opening and that the setscrews are a sound way to attatch it. Once I do this I will make some more with a better design.

Heres a closeup shot of the one I made. Its made out of 4140 preheat treat and is coated with moly resin. Its about 2.125 long and attatches using two 8-32 set screws. I havnt had a chance to try it out yet but will saturday. This is just a test peice. My next one will be nicer. I had some trouble machinining the slots in and think I know a better way. Im going to increase the slot size next time around and change the profile a little. It is based off of an A2 AR15 flashhider and should function. Id like to eventually shorten my barrel and permanently attatch it to bring it to the 18". Ive hea

Thanks. I made the flashhider. Its basically a rough draft. Im not happy with the key cutters I used for the slots and have some ideas to better the next one I make.

I used the ace folder on mine as well as the G2 trigger kit and FAL grip. I also used the shephards hook replacement from red star arms. Had to do a little grinding to make it work though. Im planning on refinishing the whole thing this weekend with john norrels moly resin. The color I have is flat grayish black and resembles colt prebans. Should look nice when done.

I have decided to not butcher my 5 round mags. Instead I will try to make them out of sheetmetal. If that goes well I will look into making them out of aluminum. Whats my limit on capacity?
