  1. I got .887 on both of mine See the entire thread at Kmoore's bbl measurement thread <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I noticed you used calipers. Maybe your calipers are better than mine but I can be off .005 from time to time with mine which is why I only use them when size isnt critical. I used digital mics to check my barrel which I check against a johnnyblock every morning before work to make sure its zeroed. Not saying your barrel isnt .887 however. Just giving you some food for thought.
  2. .882-.883 last time I checked. I would expect they could deviate +-.005 though from shotgun to shotgun.
  3. I think we should knock off criticisms in the for sale posts too. Its fun to tease a little bit about prices but isnt right IMO.
  4. thanks for the valuable input there, mcuzi, jr. hahahahaha <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dude that was soo uncalled for! I don't think i have ever called anyone on here a FUCKTARD. Read my posts hardhead and you will see most have positive input. others I'm joking around because unlike some of these trolls on here i have a sense of humor. You have to admit the whining about mags got old a long time ago. And it doesn't matter anyway now. Check out this link. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showto...t=0entry43906 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think he was just joking.
  5. Thanks. The flash hider is my own creation. It and the 8 rounder really complete the saiga IMO.
  6. I was refering to the hand gaurd only. I used moly resin on my shotty too. Its the flat grayish black color they sell that mimics colt preban AR's. Ive always liked that color.
  7. Nice work! Im redoing my wasr too. Im using an ace folder and black plastic HG's with a new coat of moly resin. I did my S12 with the galil HG from tapco as well as the ace folder and it turned out pretty sweet. Post pics when done!
  8. Yes! If it were mine Id make a beta knox for it...or at least try!
  9. IM not familiar with flex honing and how its accomplished but I have honed and ground lots of metals including chrome. Chrome is very hard but not a problem for abrasives. Im betting the barrel is only flash chromed(.0002-.0004 thick) so you if you honed too much you could wear through to the barrel surface.
  10. You guys are right on the money about sloppy movement in the XY axis. Its hard to do much when your machine isnt rigid. The metal finish suffers as well as poor tool wear and inconsistancy. Even on full size industrial grade bridgeports when the ways wear out and get sloppy it becomes increasingly harder to hold size and finish. Why limit yourself with a small scabbed together machine when you could save a grand or two, go to an auction or trading post and find a decent used bridgeport or other industrial mill? You may have to refurbish it some but when you do you'll be prepared for any m

  12. aaaaahahahahahahahaha the bfg!!! the big green orb of flesh melting death!!! i liked the 12ga chaingun myself... so, is that an 870? needs a heat shield too... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes! A heat shield would br nice! Its not mine though. From what I remember its a norinco 870 clone or something there abouts. It aims really nice!
  13. OH man! Nothing better than a gun toting hotty!
