  1. Awesome Mike! I have been wanting a second drum but could not afford it, no excuse now.
  2. The trickiest number 1234 the most evil number 666 and just random 3618 Thanks Mike, you rock!
  3. I'm over in Kirkland. I spent months tuning and tweaking my Saiga, and I love this thing! Shoots like a dream. What I learned working on it has really helped me modify the rest of my collection. I don't think any of my guns are original anymore. As for finding a place to shoot, my buddies and I bought one of those big books that have detailed maps of Washington, Delorme Atlas is what it's called. We explored the forest service roads and found quite a few places to shoot that are about 45 minutes to an hour away. As long as you are not near roads, camping, or civilization you are p
  4. Great, one more thing I have to buy!
  5. Looks like the Halo that they don't make anymore. I think it was Monolith Arms. I would like to know where they got the shorty weaver mount m-203? I hope it is a 37mm! Anyone know?
  6. Just my 2 cents on this. I heard ProMag made these and I didn't even consider them. I bought a drum for my Ruger 10/22 and a 10 round mag for my Colt Mustang and neither works. They both jam and won't feed. I am wondering, has anyone had any luck with the warranty repairs? I tried contacting them a while ago and it was a real pain so I gave up and just accepted the $115 loss. But if any of yah'll have had any luck with them repairing their products I might try again.
  7. I also installed the puck, the Gunfixer knob, and the spring. It also helped to do a really good polish job on the bolt. It runs flawlessly with the cheapo walmart packs on setting 3, and 3" slugs rock on setting 1 without crazy recoil or receiver damage. It seemed like a small price to pay to have a super reliable weapon.
  8. Once I got the hang of installing mine, it is a breeze. The trick for me was learning to rotate the BHO up while installing the safety and then using a piece of thread to loop the spring onto the BHO once everything was together. The plate is rock steady when out shooting!
  9. How the hell is it possible for Leapers to sell this for $60 and the Chaos rail is $265? Aluminum is running around $.66 per pound, looks like a block of 6061 costs $65. The machines to make these cannot be cheap, and what kind of man hours are needed to machine a quad rail? Is it all labor costs? This is just scary! How are we (USA) supposed to compete when they (China) can undercut us by 441%? I agree with post-apoc about wanting to support American business, but there is a serious shortfall here. It's starting to look like we've Walmart'ed ourselves into a corner supporting the
  10. I bought the UPG47 and I think you are right. I first tried the AR to AK grip converter and that was really uncomfortable, then I found the CAA. It fits my conversion perfectly and after looking at how the hogue goes on, I think it might be a little awkward. I am fine on the parts count, so I think I'm going to keep it. And nice catch on that photo!
  11. I was counting toward the 10 or less foreign parts, hence the "Will this count as one foreign part (forearm/hand guard) or do you count each piece that composes it?" I just read a post somewhere that a guy said it counted as three "foreign" parts because it is three pieces. It sounded like bs and I just wanted to see what yah'll thought. I figured hand guard was legally one part no matter how many pieces it was made of. As for the quad rail making it a non-sporting weapon, that is a good question. Is it just the pistol grip that makes it an assault variant? These gun laws are ridic
  12. If only I would have seen this a week ago! I just got the CAA grip. I'm a big Hogue fan as well, have em on all my pistols and AR's. Maybe I'll offload the CAA on Gunbroker and pick one of these up.
  13. Will this count as one foreign part (forearm/hand guard) or do you count each piece that composes it? I read somewhere that it will count as 3 parts! If that is true I don't know if it's worth it.
  14. Don't stress, it is definitely worth the wait. Mine took 6 months to get all the parts and complete it. Man was it worth it once I popped the drum in and chugged through 20 rounds!
  15. Here in Washington it's the same deal. Our WM had the bulk shotgun ammo in stock but everything else was completely gone, it was weird seeing those shelves so empty I've never seen that before. My favorite gun store is in a similar situation with their guns. The racks along the wall, which are usually packed, were almost completely empty. From the look of it you would think the Zombie Apocalypse has started and we didn't get the memo.
